Not fond of Leeds at all but they've been stitched up here. Having said that, they did score a try with at least one (possibly two) forward passes involved so maybe that VR decision could be called 'ballance'?

Another woeful decision to give Wire possession. Clearly pushed back by Monaghan. It's not often I say this but I feel sorry for Leeds today. This is a tough enough game as it is without having to contend with this reffing.

Apart from the sending off, the Westwood 'try' and the Hall 'knock on', the officials have done quite well.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Leeds were 10-6 up when Briers should've walked. Since then he's scored and kicked a 40:20. Yes Leeds haven't been brilliant but that decision completely changed the course of the game.

The bottom line is briers didn't get sent off, that didn't mean leeds had to lose the battle in the forwards and concede territory and points. If we were 10-6 up and one of the leeds players was wrongly sent off thus giving warrington the initiative then yeah, but the briers decision didn't do anything to take the initiative away from leeds, it was still 13 v 13 which is how the game started and leeds had gone 10-6 up in those conditions.

In the game as a whole leeds were second best. They need to be mentally tough, as they have been in the past, do the business next week so they can have another crack at warrington (if hudds win)...(warrington will club call lowest ranked team which will be leeds if they win next week and hudds win)

How Briers stayed on the pitch is beyond me. I'm no fan of Ablett but it was bad.

The problem we now have now is if something like that happens again in a play off game, which is quite likely. What do the refs do? Child has bottled it there.

When I see some of the soft red card decisions I've seen in comparison to todays punch it just baffles me.

Ablett saved Briers by rights he could/should have belted him back and a proper bit of biff ensued. But as no one else ran in only to take Briers away, it was defused quite quickly.
