| Id like to see something of a hybrid between the two current eng shirts which would look excellent imo as below.
The first is my modified version, the second is the current kit. The problem with all England shirts is they need more red for me.
....If not this then I'd go for something like the below which I posted in another forum.... it retains the flag which i think is important, while still looking good and not being overbearing and dominated by the St George.
Red shorts are also a must IMO otherwise its again too much white! |

Im not a massive fan of have the st george flag on the shirt because it looks tacky! Its the main reason why ive not bought an international short since the GB days. The second one you have done looks almost identical to the 2008 shirt!
I liked the hooped england shirt we had a few year back when we play down under a few years back.

I like that. Goes with the design of the Aussies and Kiwis. Some will claim it looks like a Saints shirt though.
If not red, then a light grey colour. But there definitely should be a chevron. |

Love the 'v' all class, does anyone know when the french jersey will be released? Also how weird is it that australia has a kiwi kit supplier, england has an ozzie supplier and NZ has a english supplier.

The quicker England drops the dodgy St George Cross designs the better. |

I like this. The problem in general with England RL though is, like others have said, the lack of identifiable history. I think it's because of that that we automatically think an England RL kit should be the colours of the flag, or even have the flag on it. Nobody gives a second thought to Australia's kit being green and gold because it is steeped in history. If their team was created tomorrow we might all be clamouring to design blue kits with stars on. |

I don't find it that hard to believe there isnt a shirt out yet as it is just at the abck of a long line of RLWC cockups.
Wouldn't it have been a good idea to send the new England shirt around on the same tour that the World Cup trophy is on? Then people could see how it would look and perhaps even buy it? I think that design looks great but what was wrong with the shirt idea from the last WC in Australia?

You're blaming the wrong set of people here. The RLWC committee are separate to the governing body, although do communicate regularly.
The delay in the shirt is down to the body that is in charge of the national team. That said, I do sympathise with the RFL on this one, as ISC are not known for their punctuality with regards to delivering playing shirts and merchandise. |

It was yes, there were 3 or 4 designs (of which all of the others were excellent designs) and that piece of garbage was chosen. From memory, the vote was done on some obscure website, with very little advertisement and a short timeframe to vote. And that was the result |
