Unless he works for IMG and also moonlights as a chairman for all 14 Superleague clubs, I doubt it

We could set up a postage hardship fund for you?'"
Doesn't matter if its a pound or a hundred, it still sends the message "we are a two bit outfit staffed by a bunch of clowns" ( I mean this isn't a kid in a call centre, but a supposed business development manager). Not that we need any more messages, one look at the bloke in charge is all that's needed.

| It's also a matter of law. The Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended) clearly states that a buyer should not be out of pocket if the vendor has broken the contract of sale in any way.
Return postage 2nd class up to 750g is £2.20, up to 1kg is £3.50. Not a small amount of money so the 'pound' claim was BS.

I agree about the money, I'm sure the guy is not fussed about £1, it's the principle. If I was him I'd have asked for a full refund as opposed to the shirt, but I am hard faced about stuff like that.
Also, for the sake of a quid, look at the advertising this bloke has got in this thread - beyond stupid.

Flip it round, if when he made his initial order he'd said, oh btw, i CBA paying postage and packaging, would the RFL have even sent anything out in the first place? no they wouldn't.

I don't follow what you're saying there. They send the wrong thing, they should pay for return postage, right? Doesn't seem controversial to me. Like I say, the amount is totally irrelevant, it's just about saying "sorry, our mistake, we'll fix it". Anything else looks really unprofessional, I can't think where they dragged up the bus. dev. guy if he's so stupid. TBH, I've seen some of the advertised salaries for posts with the RFL, and concluded that "If you pay peanuts...". FWIW, better to have half the staff numbers but pay for better ones, than twice as many if it means that most are amateur chumps.

| I've probably quoted the wrong person, but yes, if in kid original transaction he said, I don't want to pay for p and p, they're not going to say, oh alright then. Much like they shouldn't be expecting him to foot the bill now

Nottinghamshire actually. Must be just about the only rugby league fan around these parts as well. I don't have a particular allegiance to any SL side having got into RL of my own accord over the last few seasons. I do however have a variety of different SL shirts that I often wear, almost every time they are mistaken for something else. I have recently been asked if I went to Chester University when wearing a Wire shirt (the enquirer had never heard of Warrington Wolves even though he is a reasonably big sports fan), and when wearing this seasons Castleford away shirt "do you go and watch the Panthers a lot?" (referring to Nottingham Panthers ice hockey team)

What, and with all that free Stobart advertising we got, can't believe it.
