| As a Trinity fan, it’s probably still to come.
I’m probably a little cynical, but after forty odd years, the greatest highlight was a CC semi final victory, with lows of relegations, winding-up orders deaths of serving players, and on, and on.
Perhaps I will come back as a St’s fan and be able to cite a four game losing streak .

And that season and a half under Lance included a Challenge Cup final, the club's longest unbeaten Super League run and a vintage demolition of St Helens at Knowsley Road. It wasn't all bad.
Lowest individual point for me in the last 25 years of watching Leeds would probably be 11 January 1992 - the Regal Trophy Final disembowelling by Widnes. As a kid it was a shock to suddenly learn there was nothing heroic about my heroes - they were losers, weak and spineless and gutless

| Suppose as a 24-year old Saints fan I've been blessed (balanced out by Everton however).
Some would say 70-0 at Leeds but oddly I look on that fondly, I was at Headingley that day and the Saints fans just gave up after 20 minutes (about 15 after the team) and were just having fun on the West Terrace...even the youth team spankings at Bratfud were a laugh, especially when we were 4-0 up for a while
Probably Murrayfield in '02, although Cardiff '04 healed those wounds somewhat.

Five Grand Final defeats has been fooking depressing!

When Damian McGrath left as assistant coach he was pretty damning about lance and said the players pulled them out of the fire nor lance. Those first 5 games before murryfiwld where awfull we where bottom of the table with no wins and the then woefull Huddersfield where above us. That the very lowest point. Lance should have walked then. But we had him for another 12 or so months

| Losing against Saints 75-0 and then getting battered by Leeds, signing garbage like Oliver Wilkes and in general the Millward era until he got sacked.

Not sure I would necessarily rate Damian McGrath's opinion more or less highly than anyone else's but the fifth of those defeats at the start of his SL reign - a 40+ drubbing at Wilderspool IIRC - was indeed probably Lance's lowest ebb.

Was walking back to the car after that game talking to some Warrington fans and even they where concerned about what sort of drubbing we where going to get at murryfield. And Warrington where not even close to being a good side in those days.

| Before Royce was sacked, The way Saints where playing (Boring) was a low point.
When Millward was getting sacked I remember that being a low point.
Nothing compared to some other teams low points I know

| For the older Bradford fans, 1963 I guess?
Otherwise, 2010 and 2011 were little short of the Chinese water torture.
But the most surreal moment of all must be when the board suddenly sprung on us the little local difficulty of "oops chaps, we seem to have suddenly run out of money despite telling you a few weeks earlier that everything was just fine. What Silly Billies we are. Oh, well, shìt happens. Oh, and here's the bucket..."

| Some stark contrasts on this thread, some fans lowest points came when their club went bust/almost bust/lost their ground or like us were in the gutter for years on end, yet some cite a cup final defeat or a particularly bad defeat a few years back.
I certainly know which low points im glad i've seen my club come through and would never want to go through again!

| As a Saints fan i've been very lucky. The lowest point in my memory was earlier in the season when we got down to 9th in the league, for a couple of weeks.
I know most fans would kill for that to be the low point in their memory

| The whole Long/Gleeson incident is a low point for a Saints fan also how Millward was ushered out by EMc was a low point especially with all the info that came out afterwards.
5 Grand Final losses haven't helped either.
Hardly heartbreak but as a 21 year old I've not seen much of a hard time as a Saints fan.

Completely agree with your point, although sometimes a bad defeat is sometimes the visual representation of going through bad times etc. I'd also suggest leaving Fartown wasn't anywhere near as bad as it could have been, knowing that you had a ground to move in to.

| It wasn't bad as in it nearly killed us matt, but it was a low point in our history but came from years of neglect and not having funds to upgrade it etc.
My point being that when your low point is the odd bad defeat every few years then these fans really dont know how lucky they been to have had it easy.
I wouldn't change anything as a fartown fan, our seemingly endless low points just make it a whole easier to appreciate where we are at now, thats why im so proud of what we have achieved the last few years, hell even some of our fans would consider losing to wigan as a low point now,not knowing what hard times are.
By the way its a great thread!

Exactly, when 5 loses on the bounce is your worse run of form in 26 years, you know you've been spoilt.
I don't even know if we've ever been relegated

| For me the entire 1986-87 and 1996 seasons were bad - nearly relegated in each case, and nearly bankrupt in the latter. Individual games include the 92 (?) Regal Trophy loss to Widnes someone else quoted - a disgraceful 'team' display where a very good Widnes took us apart almost at will.
Bizarrely, I'd add winning the Challenge Cup in 1999, because I'd just emigrated to Australia, and my b*starding team goes and finally wins one of the big competitions I'd been hoping for since 1981, and I wasn't there.

| For me as a Wakey fan its 2010-2011, we went from finishing 5th in 2009, to having an even better squad in 2010. We beat Leeds convincingly on our patch, then it all went wrong. Brough was sold, Tronc went back to Oz, Newton got banned, our squad was decimated.
The following year we went into administration and our players were cherry picked and the season was over before it began.
Along came Andrew Glover and a 3 year license, just need to get that stadium now and a decent team together and I will be happy.

| Spoiled for choice on this topic. 1997 and administration was bad, Tim Wilby sniffing around the administrators trying to buy the club with the sole purpose of closing us down.
It was a long, slow road to recovery, so anyone moaning about Sandercock either wasn't around at the time, or has conveiniently forgot how bad those times were.

| The 2010 CC Final. I'd seen Leeds lose CC finals before in 2000, 2003 and 2005 and a Grand Final in 2005 too, but the way we got hammered in that one hurt, especially as it was my first time at Wembley. We lost the next year to Wigan too but i was strangely able to walk away from Wembley feeling ok about it because the team had gone down with a fight instead of the wimper it showed against Warrington.
