It does indeed.

That 12 seconds should be replayed to every GB/England prop making their debut as the only appropriate means of dealing with Australians.
The PFU should make Morley a life member for that 12 seconds alone.

It was actually much less than 12 seconds, more like 6-7 (from kick off to impact).
12 seconds was the time Ganson blew the whistle to stop the clock.

| Quote ="A-Fire-Inside"As far as I know, the fact that Schofield and Sullivan are the GB Test record holders has never been in question.
Morley has simply made it to 50 international appearances, he is not taking any record from Schoey.'"
Precisely.
If I'm honest I'm starting to find present-day Schofield very sad. He's like the bitter old man sitting alone in the pub every day, spitting bile and angry nonsense; furious at the world and it's perceived crimes against him.
If he could think before he spoke he could remain a legend even after his playing days. Unfortunately his track record speaks for itself...but if you ask him, it's everyone else's fault.

| He hasn't lost a record at all though, has he?
Isn't Morley about to become the most capped Englishman of all time counting England and GB caps. He's not the most capped GB player of all time; that's still Sullivan and Schofield. It's a different record isn't it?
As an aside, how exactly is he going to 'lobby' the RFL. A strongly worded letter? An email? Maybe a call to Nigel Wood? Perhaps he's going to get a mate to write a piece in a local rag? If I was the RFL I would literally tell him to F off. What's he going to do in return?

| FACT: Morley is only on 49 caps after tomorrow anyway?
You can't coun't the 2003 test against Australia when he was sent of in 12sec for taking Robbie Kearns head off?

| He may have a decent point
There is no doubt today that an England cap has the same validity as a GB cap did as GB is no longer a test team. But a few years ago, players were winning England caps as a second string/development team just as the Knights team is now. I don’t think an England cap in these circumstances should be considered the same as a GB cap
With respect to Morley, without going through his full international career, I don’t know if he has such caps but if he does then Schofield has a perfectly valid point for me

| Boring, boring Schofield.
Quote Myself and Mick are very proud from a Great Britain caps point of view and the RFL are going to hear some strong words from Garry Schofield about it'"
Oh,no! I bet they're quaking in their boots.
Schofield : Blah, blah, wingy blah!
RFL : <IGNORE>
Rest of rugby league society : Fuck off, Gary.
Do we think Mozza's concentrating on stealing his record? Or do we think he's busy training hard to make sure he does his best for his country tomorrow? Its not about numbers, and representing your country isn't about individuals.
I hope Morley is proclaimed the record holder, and I hope that if Schofield brings it up with him, he gets a jolly good punch up the bracket.

True but it's not as if Morley racked up 30 odd England caps playing for the 'old' England team, is it? Morley has earned all of his caps at the highest level - regardless of what team he played for. Therefore his caps were not earned 'at that level' and Schofield's point falls down.
RL is carrying on without Schofield, he has a limited chance of getting a career in the game again and those chances diminish every time he comes out with this drivel. He's going to die a very bitter man at this rate and be remembered for being the end of a bell rather than for the great player he was.

Even better. Its a shame Morley has mellowed somewhat in his old age.
Hmmm, a referee with the balls to send off a player in an international. Shame we didn't have one of those in the last couple of weeks.

I read somewhere that they have rejigged all the figures to take those England fixtures where it was 2nd string team out of the international cap rankings.
Its fairly simple, Schofield has played 49 times for his country at the highest international level, as has Morley - it doesnt really matter what the name of the team was specifically at that time.

Cool - in that case Morley will rightly be the record holder
