Why do you think I, or any poster on RL Fans, will have the answers on P&R and the number of Championship leagues next year?



Did you confuse RLFans.com with the RFL?

No , I thought RL fans might debate it , ie give their opinions , like on an Internet message board like , considering it is a RL Internet message board and it was a RL subject like you know like

Why would I ask the RFL ? , they don't know what day it is , and after the number of e mails they've had off Fax fans today , I think they'll be a bit busy

Why did you respond to a thread when you did not fundamentally agree to the question being asked and had no intention of trying to contribute to the subject?

So why didn't you ask what people thought of P&R between the championships? Why didn't you ask how many leagues people thought there would be? Why didn't you ask what people thought about those subjects? Why didn't you offer your own opinion on those subjects?
Asking the way you did, you were as likely to see answers of: Y/Y/2....for all the debate that brings.

The thread also asked "what happens next?" and what there was to play for. Both of which I have answered.

At least you got one post that made something of a contribution in all of this. Only one though, but one more than BS managed today.

It's more an opinion of the situation , rather than the solution , ie it's just another ' pop ' at the RFL

It very difficult to contrbute anything to a thread when the same posters come a long and deliberatley derail the thread, so once people like you get involve then the thread might as well be deleted.

It's also very difficult to contribute when the RFL havn't told people what is happening with the Championship.

It is a joke, and im sorry Ritchie but its hard to appreciate sport 'as it is'...when we dont know how it is

Its probably because the relevent TV deals havent been agreed/signed. I think we all realise the Chps were looking to expand, if a financially beneficial deal could be struck and it would appear this hasnt come to fruition. Still, they could be a bit more open on the topic

What does a TV deal that pays nothing have to do with knowing if you are a Championship 1 club , you dont know if you are playing to be promoted , with 5/6 weeks of your season left ?

quite right the negotiations are still ongoing so don't expect an answer in te near future

if/when some broadcaster decides to take on the Championship don't expect big bucks to suddenly flow into the coffers as Starbug quite rightly tells us

would much prefer a non satellite broadcaster to give it a go if only to increase the audience potential...

So would i but sky must not be allowed to keep hold of the rights to the semis and the finals.

NOPE , no money , no coverage , except that SKY will want to keep the NRC final , possibly the play offs and the Championship finals , therefore making whats left totally worthless anyway

Not forgetting that the Co oP sponsorship was only pulled in because of the TV coverage , so highly likely that the Championships will lose that as well , but as they only pay money to clubs that actually get on TV , no great loss there then

As of next season the Championship will have only 4 clubs in it capable of mustering a crowd above 2,000 , and all of those could potentially struggle to achieve many of them , as that might only happen when they play each other
