| You didn't love the grand final appearance of 2009 and the great run leading to said final?
You aren't excited about signing a half back who hasn't played with another pivot for 2 seasons but as a player in his early 20's has lead a souths side to some impressive performances and results?
You've got one of the best young coaches in the game, he may need another season to challenge the top 4 but why not see the positives?

| Parra don't have any positives, the board are always fighting and we shouldn't be relying on any players outside the club seeing as we have one of the best areas in the RL world for juniors.
As for 09, the ending to the year was nice, but 9 good games in 3 years doesn't cut it.
And no, I'm not exited about this new halfback, I said before I can't stand him (not his playing style) but the person he comes across as on the pitch and I don't know what games you've been watching, but Souths have been struggling more than Parra for a lot longer mate.
As for the coach, I don't know why everyone rates him, yeah he won a 4 nations and a WC with the kiwis, but that team won't be taking the field for parra each week.

| Because he's been playing as a young inexperienced half back with no pivotal help, I've got no doubt he'll represent Qld in soo and probably Australia.
A half back with a bit of arrogance? Whatever next.

| Wow, someone actually sees it.
And Sandow having arrogance is one thing Sheldon, being a cheap shot merchant is another, he'll never get anywhere near a rep jumper.

| Sandow has his moments of brilliance and can score and create exceptional tries when he's on form. But he's like a batsman who relies on reflexes rather than technique - when the going gets tough his game tends to fall apart. His last tackle decision making (and execution) is often dreadful - kicks to nobody or just seemingly without looking at all. If you compare to genuine class acts at 7 this is a massive weakness in his game. He also seems to focus on the flashy plays at the expense of doing the basic organisational work (sounds like many a SL scrum half, which is what he reminds me of).
If he was paired with a stand off who took decisions and ran the show then he'd be fine. I just can't see him leading a team around effectively enough to gain rep honours or win the competition. He has got age on his side and could develop into a better all-round player though, so we'll see, but he's had the same problems with his basic game for a couple of years now.
As for Souths, if they can just get a basic organiser in with Sutton then they may fare better than people think, especially if Inglis can stay fit. Sutton can look great and has the physical capability to be a star stand off, but he takes a back seat far too much and like Sandow often suffers from dreadful decision making.

You should come over to the Hull board and meet Jake the Peg, you'd get on famously.
