I thought you meant when you posted about the RFL showing they have ambition and 'reasonable ticket prices' that you already knew the pricing structure Jonny.
Sorry.
What would you consider a reasonable price for a ticket to this game Jonny?
I would suggest £15 for a cheap seat seeing as they will have problems selling many.

No, what I was trying to say was if they use reasonable ticket prices, match times and promotion-it will be a success. I'd forgotten you don't read posts properly.
I'd agree £15 seems reasonable, i'd drop concessions prices right down though and get schools down to Wembley like we did in 1995 for the RLWC.

Just re-read it now jonny and it looks like it was just a case of you putting a comma in where it would have been more suitable to use a full stop after 'Ambition' and then possibly a new paragraph. It would have made a bit more sense then.
I will take more care reading your posts in the future.

| Offer the cubs buy 7 get 3 free. That way clubs make money from selling them and will work hard to prmot ethem. A club could make 100k+ if they work hard.

I still don't understand why the RFL don't do a 'tournament ticket' which gets you into all the games.'"
That would be because for example a New Zealand fan living in London would probably have no interest whatsoever in watching Wales v England play in the north of England somewhere.

If they did a 'tournament ticket', you don't have to buy one Barry. You can still buy a single ticket for one game.

People travelling by train will find it harder to get back to the north with an evening kickoff.

Yes Jonny I realise that.
But given flatcappers don't like to travel much further south than Warrington and the Antipodeans in London don't travel further north than Watford there seems little point.
The amount of people that would buy one would be tiny.

| I hope when they sell the tickets, they try and group the NZ, Aussie and Welsh fans together to give a bit more atmosphere. I remember the GB-Australia game at Eastlands had all the Australia fans in the corner together and they made a hell of a racket because they were all in a block.

jonnytheleyther works for British Rail. Ok it's only pushing a buffet trolley but maybe he could have a word with someone about running a late train?
Fair point though.

I'd say there were a few hundred, all together, all in yellow.
Were you there?
Who do you support?
Why arn't you at a game today?

I went to the wendyball last week Wales v England and it was nice to see that it was packed out with families for what is a high risk game.
They did it with this www.faw.org.uk/news/2088 and reducing prices. I paid £15 to watch this.

| Some of us students don't fancy forking out an extra £40 for a hotel though, that's a month's food for me.
If the RFL wants people to take it seriously, it needs to be an afternoon kickoff IMO, there's no point having the thing finish at 10pm at a weekend if half the crowd can't get home because there's no trains.

I think you will find half the small-ish crowd will be wearing either black and white or green and gold and will already live in London.

| this would be a big move by the RFL and I hope we could get 50,000 fans at the gate.
I do hope the Aussie and NZ RL fans in london would make the effort for this.

| I am all for the games at Wembley but please RFL market it properly and do some deals on cheap tickets and we can show a certain pessimistic poster on here that we can get at least 60k.

A stopover isn't always suitable though, especially if the RFL are expecting the same people to fill the seats at the other games.
