Tbf though he had no help from the rest of his team mates then. I also thought that Luke had very little help. The amount of times he took the ball up and created the gaps but no one was there supporting him. If the Roosters can cut the penalties out though I think they will have a good year. Completion rate was good and 1st half they choked the Chooks out of the game.

Just got back from the game. Decent atmosphere. Plenty of red and green.

Typical Souths for mine. Too many unforced errors and poor ball retention in the first half cost them dear. Injury's didn't help their cause, but nevertheless, until they start hanging on to the ball and building pressure on the opposition, they will struggle.

poor scotty geddes, he was a Dragons junior and was tipped to be a potential Origin player when he was younger. Then has been plagued by injury after injury. I feel sorry as he also a Personal Trainer, so he may lose out a bit on that front. I guess my curse struck again. I wished him well only yesterday!!!

Great game in the end, thought the Roosters were worthy winners too.
Souths had injuries and will hope it doesn't turn into last season all over again but they have to improve in defence. The Roosters looked like scoring all the time, Mitchell Pearce was great with his kicking game. That Symonds looks a good player aswell.
That Pettybourne is a beast but he was full of errors, as were plenty of them. Souths got infront and then concede straight from the kick off and need to get their defence in order to have any chance of being near the top.
