Salford really should revert to all red if you ask me, the new one with red shorts and socks would be an all time classic.

White shorts is the traditional colours - we've probably only had half a dozen kits since the mid 80s that have had red shorts and tops.

having just seen the new wigan home jersey am i the only one wondering if a manufacturers fault has meant the red doesnt handle the washing process very well?

We signed a deal with a company called Kooga!

They only make the design that has been approved by the club.

For the last decade we've had just a plain maroon jersey with gold panels, which has overtaken the traditional hoops designs.

Then a would say at least one person from Hull KR, Huddersfield, Wigan, and Bradford all need to be sacked right now!







In all seriousness the club obviously feel (like many seem to) that shirts will be more successful if they are really different from the previous each season, rather then maintaining the same style. Don't agree with it myself, but it's their call I guess.

This thread just highlights when people started watching, doesn't it? The "classic" York jersey for me is amber & black hoops, the classic Hull KR jersey is white with a red band. No sponsors logos...

I don't actually get the Hull KR fans' issue with this years' kit. I think that it's decent looking.
Then again, I'm not a KR fan so it doesn't bother me as much if the tradition is broken, whereas if FC had your design (but in b&w, obviously) I don't think I'd like it.

This one is without doubt the classic and most iconic widnes kit. A minority of Widnes fans seem to think hoops is the kit for us for some godforsaken reason, but this is timeless. An absolute beauty from the year of our finest hour.
