In would imagine it would have been more had the game been marketed better. Games like this should be given at least six months publicity, allowing tickets to be bought at Welsh amateur games aswell as South Wales Scorpions and Crusaders games.

Marketing is the sport's worst element, it really is. Whether at international, national or club level: rugby league can't or won't market itself.

I've sent two emails to BBC Radio 5 this evening to ask them to include the weekend's European Cup results... nothing.
European rugby union cup results between French and Italian teams got a mention in the sports reports and there was an interview with one of the Leicester rugby union players.

What's the email address? When I go hunting for email addresses I can never find the one I want so this time I'm going to ask someone who has actually done the job. I'd be happy to email as well to help do the RFL's job for them!

i'm trying to make contact with the two welsh fans - the only two proudly wearing the red shirts who were at the france v wales game in Albi
we had a drink pre game and met up after - unfortunately I lost the big fellas email address - he was an ugly brute but intelligent enough to support both Saints & Spurs (like myself)

well done to the welsh lads - the players wore their shirts with pride and Lee Briers couldn't contain his exitement and he didn't even play ! Well done to Iestyn who did his coaching career no harm at all

I've tried leaving a message on the 'International' forum,'South Wales Scorpions' forum cos' they live in that area and follow the team as well as the mighty 'Saints' forum cos' one of them is a massive Saints fan

they were great lads and had the privelege to have pint or two before the game in Albi in the Sports Bar next to the ground along with Neale Wyatt,the ex Crusaders (now Pia) player.We met up after the game and chatted to them with the players & coaching staffs (except Warren Jowitt in my case - read my thoughts on him in previous forums) I noted one of the email addresses but managed to lose it somewhere or other. He was a typical Rhondda valley lad - proud welshman & rugby daft - looking forward to seeing the ugly brute again for the Saints game at Perpignan in 2011
