don't get me wrong i love GB,grew up on it but its dead until the celtic nations develop enough to supply players towards a "proper" Great britain team which is'nt likely to happen for many,many years

With the exception of the delightfully named 'Wayne Kerr' (a name that if I tried to register it on here would probably get me banned) most of the Ireland team were born in Yorkshire, Lancashire or that dead set Guinness drinking, potato eating Irish legend Pat Richards.... born in that quaint little Dublin suburb....West Sydney

There are some miserable beggars on here, its the only international on home soil this year, yet most of you S/L fans on here are whinging because "we cant get to Leigh, our players are playing twice," etc etc...

These are your players from your clubs playing for our country.

Well, personally I feel that, with the current crop of players, International RL from an English stand point is a none starter. There's more important things that need attention in the game at the moment. Mainly the development of at least 30 players who are capable of going for 80 minutes against the Aus/NZ teams. Without that, what's that point? To be consistantly the 3rd best team in the world?

Have a word with yourself I have been to all the tri nations games for the last 10 or so years regardless of where they have been played within the uk pal so dont give me that, a poor attempt at a put down

Where is the option im too lazy and would rather sit and watch it at home, posting on RLfans, complaining that International Rugby League gets shocking attendances?

But this is a meaningless friendly, that's the reason why it doesn't appeal to people including myself.

I suppose you'll try to claim that you've been to every international friendly too?

FWIW, I've been to everyone of those games too.

Got to admire your balls for having a go at people when you yourself won't be in attendance. What is it, 20 mins from Wigan? 10 quid a ticket too...



When does a friendly actually mean something? If it meant something ie World Cup qualification it wouldn't be a friendly.

No I dont claim that , but this is still the only chance this year I will get to see an international on home soil, friendly or not .

Less than that, but I don't want to go. Although I'll sit down and enjoy the game on television, it isn't worth the time, effort and money to make that 10 minute trip in my opinion.

And you're more than entitled to that opinion. Just as long as you don't go knocking those that choose to make the effort and support their country in their sport.

i missed the france game last year as it was friday night and too far to go after work and the france game last year as it was in france and leeds played that weekend, in fact there's always seems to be a good reason not to watch england play france
i went to all the other england games in 2008 and 2009 (even the one against wales)

1) I'm at a wedding

2) England will be slapping the Yanks all over the shop in "Yob-Ball"...so that's worth a watch

3) Its on Sky TV

4) Oh and Its bloody miles away from me (Quins fan)!
