The RFL have never stated that finishing in the bottom two last season will bar Toulouse from applying should they get to the GF so being one place above them last year should not stand in Leigh's way either. That said however they never told Widnes that financial trouble would be a barrier prior to applying last time so they may yet use it as a barrier.

I would like to see Leigh back in SL so we can have the derbies again. It's early days though and they will have to do what Widnes, Barrow and Halifax did last year so that they can apply. Get complacent about the good start and they might get a dose of what Fax got in the NRC. With the competitive nature of the top end of the championship the NRC looks the best chance to get a shot at applying.

A half decent stadium or not, they're seriously going to struggle if they don't improve on the pitch.

I'd say Widnes are in front of Leigh to be honest and they deserve their chance. But i think Leigh can't be far behind Salford, Wakey, Cas and Quins.

I don't see how everyone keeps talking about Quins.

We haven't had an under 18 side for a few years, but there again 'Fax haven't got an Under 20's. We do operate under 15 and under 16 sides though, I believe.

The number of players who have played in our academy who are currently in our first team or playing elsewhere would certainly suggest that we don't do too badly in terms of bringing players through.
