| Burgess with 6 drives, 51 metres and 11 tackles in the 1st half. Not bad stats. Didnt see too much of it because i was too focused on the Doggieflogging but Im hoping this is a better game :lol.:

I switched to this game at half time in the Dragons vs Dogs game. Burgess has been solid. had a half a dozen carries. Won 2 penalties off the back of finding the floor in the tackle. replaced after 27 mins.
Tbh, both teams look poor. The Bunnies have looked clueless at the back end of their sets, and Sandow looks a bit lost out there. Souths dont seem to be able to be patient and build pressure. Their last tackle options are very poor indeed.
The Titans are looking out of sorts too. Their kicking game has also been poor, and they haven't looked that threatening at all (which tells you how poor Souths have been when the Titans are going into the break in front). Bird has been quiet. He has put some big hits in, but is getting caught in possession a lot.
Both teams need to step it up a few notches at half time. I'm hoping the Rabbitohs get going and Sutton and Sandow start to create something. But I my head thinks the Titans will push on and get the win.

I can't believe Souths haven't put this game away!

| Souths were terrible for 70 minutes of that match. They had a decent 10 minute spell mid way through that second half, where they had the Titans on the ropes, and had numerous chances to put the game to bed.
Sandow was garbage tonight. If he spent as much time on his kicking and and last tackle plays as he does trying to put the big shoulder on everyone, then things might have been different. Sutton tried hard, but was largely pedestrian. Luke was very ordinary too. Much of their game was one off the ruck and drive.
The Titans were as bad as I have ever seen them tonight, and they still managed to beat Souths.

What about just before HT when the Titans played on and kicked 20 meters downfield and he said no advantage.

| I made my way to ANZ tonight. Being at the game, you can sometimes not see what penalties are given for, but from where I was sitting, Souths were receiving the most innocuous penalties through the night. Couldn't say with much conviction that either team was better though, they were both pretty bad. Souths did seem to threathen the most, but also cocked it up the most.

| When the Titans learn how to use Tomane they will be very dangerous.
Luke shouldn't be playing 80 and only having 2 ball handlers who are inexpeirenced is killing us.
We only dominated when friend was in the bin.

| Sandow is absolute jizz. Him kicking is $hite and so is his passing. The coaching staff are really gonna have to work hard on his game or they'll do nothing this year, again. Titans were poor but they've won 2 from 2 and they were poor in both games and should of lost last week to the Warriors but there doing what good sides do and that's grind out wins. Wesser looked lively for Souths but there major concern will be Sandow. Titans could well be same as last year in the top 3, there always good at home and if they keep grinding results out away they'll be right in the mix, plus they wont have hardly anyone out for Origin. Maybe Bird and Laffranchi but that's it, i dont think Prince will get in for QLD.
Dogs were disappointing, Dragons were always gonna win an armwrestle. Kimmorley was dire, just kicking for Idris everytime but everytime he was short and giving Idris no chance. Brett Morris will play on the wing in Origin IMO. Dragons carrying on there pre-finals form.

As soon as September comes they will crash and burn as usual. I think it showed how big Ennis is today too. We just had no control. I reckon if we stop giving teams that 16 point start we'll be good

souths will come good. its only early season
seriously form until origin is pretty much irrelevant.
as long as teams are in the top 8, its the form post origin that counts
souths will make the semis
kimmorley was dire and his kicks to idris was all he had
still barba is brilliant. the sooner the lose roberts the better

Ennis is a major player for the Dogs and they were bound to miss him. He'll get the nod ahead of Farah for Origin I IMO. Kimmorley was really poor, his kicking game was poor and it was easy for the Dragons to defend, the Dogs were predictable. Turner had a shocker, he was coming in off his wing when he didn't need to and Morris had a free run to the line. They'll need to sort out the right side defence.
Ben Barba looks a handy player coming on from the bench, looks a real threat with ball in hand. They've lost 2 from 2 and now there gonna be short of forwards with Hodgson and Paea both suffering injuries, that was an area they looked light in IMO and i thought they might of signed another prop pre-season. Hannant also wants to go back to QLD, family haven't settled and he's asked for an early release. Titans are favourites to sign him as a replacement for Luke Bailey at the end of this year. Good signing for the Titans and but he'll be a massive loss for the Dogs, one of the very best in the NRL.

| More Dragons, more of the same. Simple but effective in wearing down their opponent in to submission. Classic Wayne Bennett coached team. Rarely, it at all, starts a season under .500 after the first 5 games. The forwards were again impressive, led by Weyman who is turning in to the game's best prop (not yet, not far off) and a classy looking backline that boasts the best finisher in the game in Brett Morris. Love the look of Prior, I think he is a bolter for a rep jersey in 2010.

| Yeah, 99% of the rugby league community have misread the Doggies. They don't look enthusiastic and despite having a world class halfback in Kimmorley, they look lost. There is no direction. Ben Roberts is well below par and 2009 Rookie Of The Year Jamal Idris is a massive liability at the moment out wide. Teams will target he and Turner and there will be plenty of points leaked down their side.

| dally, by "tomane is another gi", do you mean he's another Inglis? If so, in what way? Certainly not in talent or potential. He's not and will never be half the player Inglis is. Very few players will ever get that close.
Inglis has been sh*t 2 weeks in a row now though The kent will only bother trying come Origin I bet.
Also, Barba is talented, but he's due destined for the scrapheap as far as i'm concerned. He's too small, and don't give me Langer and Toovey examples to counter that. They may as well stick with Roberts.
And B Moz is just getting better and better. He's a dead cert for NSW.

| What would the Cowboys do without Thurston? Led the comeback for the second week in a row and got them home this time. Scott Bolton is turning into a very good player.
Sharks just keep losing and Vatuvei now has 5 tries in 2 games already, the Sharks struggle for points and today was probably the highest they've got for a while with 16. I said last year that the likes of Covell and Pomeroy need to go and have a clearout but they've stuck with them and will finish last IMO. Luke Douglas could play for NSW this year.

They said the same of Johnathan Thurston. You are brave to write some one off after seeing little of him I'd imagine. How many games have you seen him play?
