I'm proud of my clubs achievements of their backs to the walls survival over the last ten years against all the odds. Despite probably consistently having the smallest budget and producing some excellent talent, that we were not able to keep due to our budget. We have done everything at our disposal to survive, and we have done it well. Not once have the RFL had to bend the rules to keep us in SL, not once have we had to oversee the destruction of another club. Now that is something any Huddersfield fan should be [iashamed[/i off.

God knows what we would of achieved with a sugar daddy throwing a million a season in spending money at us. Probably a lot better than what Huddersfield have in the last 10 years.

Your a massive loss making club that's reliant on one business man, it's not a sustainable business model, that will catch up on you in the long run. Time will tell.

All those years in SL and the much vaunted Kear recruitmet policy and you have umpteen overseas guys.....very poor

The topic is Stosic leaving Wakefield - thats what the title of it infers to. Nothing in the title says Wakefield in 10 overseas players shocker.

Part of a long term strategy seems the posters on here cant see pass their own nose.

Just a question, but would Jay Pitts have stayed at Wakefield if he was being played every week? He's gone to Leeds where he probably won't be in the first 17 to start with.

10 overseas players in a team is way too many, and can't be defended on any grounds at all.

Who knows, but i do know Jay would have ended up at Leeds at some point (given the chance) its always been his club so i expect once Leeds got mentioned that would be him on his way.

10 overseas is more than i would like to see at Wakey (or any club) but hey we are just fans.

Barring a couple of exceptions(Rhinos...)all clubs have too many non fed players in their squads.

Unfortunately the clubs put club before country and we are no where nearer reducing overseas signings than we were 10 years ago.

I dont have the answers to stop it happening,because the game tried,but clubs broke rank and challenged the quota systems and went looking for exemptions.

As I already posted my take on the issue on the Trinity board and openly admitted my disappointment that the club are relaying heavily on imports this season. I’m happy the number of imports has been reduced but sad that it is Stosic who is going, especially when the club needlessly signed up Ben Jeffries.

Apparently it was a clause in Stosic’s contract that he needed to obtain his Macedonian passport to enter into the second year of his contract. He could’ve also represented Serbia in the recent internationals and he would’ve been registered as a non-fed player but he went to the USA on a pre-booked holiday instead.

Neither side are blameless in this scenario, Stosic and his agent should’ve sorted this out a while ago and the club should’ve put plans in place to guard against losing their best prop, i.e. not filling up the 5 quota places before this issued had been resolved.

Still if he does leave Trinity then any club with the available space should take a look at him. He would make an excellent signing for the Crusaders.

the rfl did once help you out, they deducted you 4 points in the season 2001/2002 and upon appeal it was reduced to 2 points , thus relegating the giants .. normally i dont abuse wAKEY AS THEY ARE DOING A GREAT JOB WITH THE FACILITIES THEY HAVE but sometimes i take exception to the bikering
