Both games are on ESPN this week.

Melbourne will beat the Broncos IMO, Glenn has been named at half back with Wallace injured but the Storm will win by about 10.
In the other game i hope the Dogs win but it's too close to call, Kimmorley back is a big boost for the Dogs, Mortimer and Inu are injury concerns for the Eels but Mateo will play at 6 and Inu hasn't played for a few weeks anyway so it's not a major problem for them if they dont play.

their form has been awful for ages.

really hope the eels win their first GF since 86, they deserve it.

too many comps have been wasted on the storm and their crowds arent growing that much

let the eels have a taste of GF glory and watch their crowds.

Wasted? - they have been one of most consistent sides in the NRL over a number of years - the fact that they are able to survive and prosper on the field in the heartland of the most popular spectator sport in Australia says much about their resiliance and professionalism.

It is a shame the draw has turned out they way it has but it is the only way of guaranteeing a Sydney side a Storm v Broncos final would be ideal.

Why would Storm/Broncos be ideal? We just saw that 3 years ago.


Parra fans are probably the most fickle in the comp. Consecutive losses and they vanish.

The more the final includes teams outside of Sydney the better - we all want the game to expand into other areas an all Sydney final would be the worse thing that could happen

Not with such rapid fluctuation as Parra.

Anyway, quality should always come first. If the two best sides are Sydney teams in any given year, then so be it. How Brisbane playing/winning their 7th Grand Final represents expansion over any Sydney team, I don't know.

Well done Eels, they were the better team. The Dogs copped some tough calls IMO(Hayne 40-20 went dead ingoal, knock-ons) but overall the Eels were worthy winners. Everytime they attacked they looked like scoring whereas the Dogs never looked like scoring, they couldn't even get in the eels half with tackles in hand second half, last tackle options were poor and they looked clueless. The Eels just keep the ball alive with there off-loading and Inu terrorised Idris down the Eels left in attack, how good is Inu's step? Amazing, he's so quick and the Dogs couldn't cope.
Hayne is unstopable, the first eels try when there looked to be nothing on and he spun out of the three tacklers and passed to Galuvao was great but he'll have a nervous wait this week after been put on report, he could cop a ban for that and miss the GF and with Cayless gone it would be a massive loss.
