Once we have undertaken the above I'm sure we will be up to ARL standards...

Lets be honest the only reason why Australians excel at sport is because they’ve done nothing much to contribute to history in terms of things that really matter.

Convict schooling doesn’t help either where you have to be the fastest and strongest. I know this because I have a friend whose from Melbourne who tells me all about Australian schools. The fact he’s come over here to be a dancer rather than something intellectual shows something about Australians as well!

add to that classes for SL players in the following :

1. catching a RL ball.
2. passing a RL ball
3. tackling
4. beating an aussie

growing up in sydney where RL is the number 1 sport id always assumed RL was invented in australia and wed taken it to england.

first we are so good at it, and 2nd RL is way to rough to be associated with something english.

i get how cricket, union and soccer are yours, but RL?

England has a lot more going for itself than Australia. I’ve been on the dole and mixed with people of my intellect and they all like rugby. Mix with people who are off the dole most prefer football.

see......again, schooling down there isn't the best is it. As an Irishman, it pains me to say this, but the Brits invented most of the decent sport played on this planet. The fact that these games are so popular around the world is because the imerialistic british went around conquering most of the planet. Soccer, an English game, was actually introduced to the Americas by us Irish, in the shape of the kiddy fiddlers run from Rome. Rugby has always been seen as an aspirational sport for the middle classes in the commonwealth to be associated with the English. Same with Cricket. As for RL, it was created out of a need to ensure that working class people could play the game and keep their jobs, with no loss of pay and as the people who were shipped to the rock all those years ago were sent there by the middle classes, it is patently obvoius why League was adopted by Australians. It's like the ARL......which is simply a ised version of GAA......
