Steady mate. We've had this with the likes of Iestyn Harris through, who was as good as Myler at the same stage of development, and probably better IMO. He will not go down in history alongside Johns, Murphy and Langer, trust me (Harris that is). Myler has a long long way to go before he's even compared to any of the 3 names above.

Widnes lost him because they went into administration, not because Salford "stole" him. Now he and his agent are trying to get the best deal for themsleves, as they have every right to do. From a rugby point of view he still has a lot to learn, but he has massive potential.

So glad someone else noticed this. As I posted a while back, offiah needs to either be a full time pundit or a full tome agent. He shouldn't be able to start an auction for one of his charges whilst being paid by SLY TV.

cant remember the last time that Long showed enough form to be classed as the best in the country.

Long's best days are behind him, thats why he is going to a club with no ambition.

True, i would hope he wouldnt go to them for that reason, but if he did i would still hope (in vain probabley) that he continued to develop as a player.

Thats a bit too soon to say lol, we havnt see him against the aussies and new zealand, where to the pack are a lot better than england's pack.

Burrow is fine in SL, but his novelty value doesn't cover his limitations at international level against NZ and Australia. There's still a chance that Myler might become a player who can actually control an international, not saying it will happen mind.

Was in the M.E.N last week Hull Fc have been keen on him and will looks to put an offer in at the end of the season. Heard it from a few other people aswell

I am dissapointed that he is not going to stay at salford. Wasnt this one of the reasons for franchising? so teams could keep people and build up a good squad and not just move on for money?

Not really no.

The franchise system was supposed to give way to more youngsters coming through at each club because they have time to blood them without the fear of relegation.

It was never designed to stop players moving between clubs…..

I actually think it’s good for the game he moves to Wire as it will only strengthen them and the game as we need a good group of top clubs with top players in the league rather than a spread of a load of average clubs with one or two stars in there. The better the standard of team mates he plays with the better Myler will become.
