tbh I thought it sounds like a great deal. Coupled with the announcement of 'themed' days, if you like, the RU guys plugging RL matches, I get the sense that maybe there is a change of direction, or, if you think there was no direction at all, then a commencing of a direction with the marketing people?! (not sure that makes sense but I hope people see what I mean).

In an expansion area (and yes, it will be an expansion area for decades) it makes sense to use scarce resources in a twinned fashion so I think this is a top notch, thinking out of the box type thingy.

personally I found the City angle a lot more interesting and I for one shall look forward to watching that bit closely. Good luck to both clubs, they both deserve the success and this may well be the start of better things...?

Depends on how it will work , if these Quins reserves replace some of the Skolars holidaying assuies and kiwi's then fine

If on the other hand Skolars end up with a team of Quins reserves and lots of ' strine ' then it isnt really achieving much

then they will have completely disregarded their own Operational Rules which state that all loan arrangements must be for a minimum of 28 days.

If they have then surely the ruling applies to all clubs, seeing as all clubs are governed by the OR's...........

I thought Skolars had cut down a lot on their imports anyway? Or do you mean the Quins loaned players would be Aussies & Kiwis? I read that it would be some local young players who'd be loaned out but I s'pose it could be imports....though cant see why Quins would spend big to bring a good quality player over only to farm them out....

as an aside, I thought the Skolars had made a determined effort to promtoe from within, as it were, rather than looking overseas?

I saw your reserves for the first time Saturday and was really impressed.

A few caught the eye especially the big balf forward with the beard. Big old unit and took some stopping.

Still enjoyed our winger leaving Matt Gardner for dead though. Worth going for on it's own that was.

Worked with Catalans/UTC. Why not reduce the running costs of the Championship clubs AND improve player development at the same time?
Spin it the other way round, all the semi-pro clubs become fully pro, buoyed by an influx of free players.

Not knowing from one week to the next who will be playing for them as it will all be at the whim of the SL clubs coach ?

If they aren't then it won't work for the SL clubs, since the exposure to the crowds is where the value is for them. I reckon we'll see some long-term loans, some rotation loans (say Skolars will request one of 5 players from Quins academy) and then the rest of the Championship squad will be made up of FT players bought by the club. While the C clubs would profit from the deal, the SL clubs would be getting the most out of it so would have to tailor the deal to suite the C clubs.
