Good idea you seem to have let's wrap these precious little ref's up in cotton wool and no one is ever aloud to say a bad word against them or God forbid ever question a decision they make. That doesn’t make them more egotistical or raise there already astronomical levels of self importance does it? Let’s keep blowing hot air up their s that’s the best way forward………..

I mentioned the other day that when Ganson called Hudson over for accidently brushing past him at Wigan that his actions we're ridiculously theatrical and provocative with all his pointing, gesturing, calling the linesman over and getting in to Razza's face to make his point for all the crowd and cameras to see.

Most laughable thing of all was he didn't actually have a clue himself if Razza brushing past him was intentional and put it on report, but still made a total song & dance about the whole thing for everybody to see.

He's no worse than anybody else at officiating, but by god he loves the limelight.

he is so frustrating. he can be supurb,2004 grand final comes to mind, and then lets himself down with a display that screams "look at me".
against wakey it was a good,hard clean game yet he hammered both teams with penaltys,most of which he could just have had a word with.

Ganson is ok. Put things in perspective, 'cos we all have a gripe with refs now & again. He is better than:

Thaler
Silverwood
Smith
Bentham
Hewer
Laughton

Hewer is better then Ganson IMO

Ganson's actually a really nice bloke and one of our best refs imo

I don’t watch Ganson like a hawk and note down what he gets wrong every time he gets something wrong but Leeds v Wakefield he gave away far too many penalties - I saw less in the England rugby Union game against Wales unless I’m under delusions?

His worse hour had to be last year when he reffed saints against Leeds. Was told by a bloke (I don’t watch the crowd) that a couple walked out that night their where that disgusted.

He has a challenge cup winners medal for his exploits for saints last year

Ganson is my least favourite ref for a number of reasons. The first and still the one that makes still me angry when I think about it, was on the 5th July 2003 when we played Hull FC at Griffin park. He missed a BLATANT pull on denis moran who was 100% going to score with the last play of the game.
After that, to be fair to him, I did begin to scrutinise his every move when he reffed us.

Another Leeds fan noted that as well. That Meli try was a disgrace.
