| where has this idea come from that a bite occurred? Ive looked at the footage and can see no evidence of one. If it is the case hes been bitten then Hardaker should inform the disciplinary, evidence supplied and Connor should be banned. If its just a load of guff from leeds fans then that's pretty sad tbh.

| Love the selective reading that's going on. Bite what bite, nobody ever mentioned a bite?!
Hardaker did a Ben Flower though! Should of seen it. Wasn't a little shove at all, forget MayPac & Vegas, The (Insert Huddsfields new 1 years stadium deal sponsor name here) stadium is where its at.

| All these Rhinos complaining about dissent towards an official is laughable, have they forgotten Sinfield already!
McGuire was worse than Brough yesterday, then there's Hardacre who's track record is atrocious and I could easily link a you tube video of Peacock using foul and possibly homophobic language towards a ref which was conveniently ignored even though it did the rounds on Twitter at the time.
I have some sympathy with Brough regarding the decision in question, the rule itself is a farce and penalises good defence. Even then the Leeds players feet didn't lose contact with the ground and no defender was dragging towards the touchline.

It you're on twitter search for it. There are a couple of picks. Also on Facebook there is a video. MAYBE, just MAYBE, Hardaker wants to keep his head down. He has been a bad lad himself and has faced a lot of abuse over spur of the moment incidents. Having first hand of that maybe he doesn't want to land Connor in hot water.

| Brough is the captain he can talk to the ref.
Just the same as Mcguire was doing lastnight.
we all know how much Brough wants to win, he is the ultimate competitor and it gets the better of him sometimes, still id rather have him in our side than on the opposite side.
we have had the rough end of some decisions this season already, shows no sign of turning yet

Correct. Key word, TALK. No scream and shout TALK.
And here for some honesty: I would have Brough at Leeds for his playing ability. If you forget Sinfields legacy then Id swap him for Sinfield right now. Huddersfield are lucky to have him. However I really would be embarrassed by his dummy spits.
You may have been at the rough end of some calls but didn't you have 7 penalties in a row prior to this? So that cannot really be taken into account.

| Sometimes broughy does go over the top and i find myself urging him to just walk away and calm down. But in a tight game like last night were you think you've been wronged then ofc you're you'd have a go and let your emotions go. It's professional sport and the consequences of a win vs a loss are massive to these guys! Think Silverwood has used some common sense and empathy and handled it well from what I've seen watching it back on telly, calmly explains his decision which is a close call but ultimately right.

| It's not a close call. It's a clear penalty. The second Watkins lends weight to the tackle then the player is held and the tackle is complete. The defenders have to stop, in the same way as if Keinhorst's ball carrying arm had hit the ground.
There's no reason for Brough to be so outraged about a clear decision. He should be annoyed at himself and his teammates for not paying attention to what's going on.
As mentioned by others, he's a cracking player, but he shouldn't be allowed to talk to officials in that manner. The TJ shouldve had the balls to go onto the pitch and report it to Silverwood and make him punish Brough in some way. Another 10m downfield would be appropriate in my opinion.

| Nobody is disputing that Brough should be able to query decisions with the referee.
If you can't see the difference though between the way he confronted the TJ and his conversation 30 seconds later with Silverwood that was caught on ref cam, you're an idiot.

I'm afraid that in your haste to have a go you've completely lost your thread haven't you!
Where have I said that Sinfield shouts at the official in an aggressive tantrum?
I simply said that Rhino fans have quickly forgotten Sinfield who constantly questioned and challenged officials throughout most matches, to the point of dissent.
Yes amongst the other words used by Peacock, I am referring to that word. You'll also note I used the word "possibly"
Are you saying it's more palatable to accuse a referee of being corrupt than to suggest he's gay? Is it OK for Peacock to use the F word in such an aggressive manner that he actually spits and slavers in the direction of the referee?
Here's where you lose it a little, I'm not suggesting anything of the sort re how Hardaker gets treated, merely suggesting that Rhino fans having a go at Brough is a bit laughable considering the Leeds fullbacks atrocious record.
IMO McGuire was worse because he was after the referee constantly throughout the 80 minutes! Again where have I suggested that he had a paddy or indeed where in my post have I said Brough having a paddy is acceptable.
In relation to my sympathy, Im talking about the rules of the game not being breached and therefore IMO it's not a penalty.
Where did I say it was right for Brough to shout at the referee?
By the way I live in the real world not the blue and yellow tinted one you live in.
Now take a breath and THINK it through before responding.

We haven't 'forgotten' that, it simply doesn't happen. What Brough did last night was dissent, what Maguire did last week was dissent, what Sinfield does is respectfully question, occasionally forcefully, but never in the same postcode as dissent.

Let's have a look at that 'atrocious' record. There was that time he got done for the completely unacceptable homophobic slur, then there was that erm... that other thing he did on the pitch, you know, where he... know, can't think of anything. Must just be that one offence.
Quote ="The Avenger"IMO McGuire was worse because he was after the referee constantly throughout the 80 minutes!'"
He wasn't though was he? He did ask why only one team seemed to be getting penalised, and how on earth can you give a phantom obstruction against Leeds but not see an actual Hudds one, and any captain would talk to the ref after 7 pens in 20 mins, but by any standard he was not 'constantly after' him. You may recall Brough leaping up in to the refs face after Delaney's try, demanding to know how it was allowed - does that constitute 'constantly' as well?

The game doesn't have rules, it has laws, and you obviously don't know them. As soon as anyone moves into a position where they're pulling rather than pushing the tackle is complete (that happened) and as soon as an opposition player lends weight against the tackle it's complete (this happened as well) and as soon as the ref calls held the tackle is complete (unbelievably this also happened) so whatever way you look at it, the tackle was complete and the Hudds players took him out of bounds. Penalty all day long, every day and for every team in League. Danny Brough does know the laws, he just doesn't like them.

| I like the idea they have in the NRL (even though they don't always stick to it) of captains only being able to speak to officials and at designated times.
We should have the same rule, and enforce it.

| This is one area that I feel Union is ahead of us these days. Anyone remember the Northampton captain being sent off when he called the ref a cheat? Would any of our refs do that to McGuire, Wilkin et al? Search for Nigel Owens on YouTube, a fine example of how a referee should command respect - and get it from the players. Chris Robshaw was whinging about a decision in his ear the other week - Owens said just one word 'Christopher...' and Robshaw duly apologised (sorry sir) and walked away. Would any of the Super League captains do that?

| As much as i love broughy as a player i have to agree, his outburst at the tj was out of order and he should have been marched 10 at least! It would probably have cost us the game.. I love his passion and his enthusiasm and he wants to win and he gets frustrated but you can't rant at officials like that.
Its something that I am hating about the modern game and i want to see it clamped down on.
I realise in the heat of the moment players as well as fan lose it sometimes and emotions get the better of them.. But we managed alright for a hundred years or so..
I really really hope the powers that be put a stop to it!
