Anybody a clue about when the tickets for the games go on sale? And also how the feck do I get hold of them?

I'm trying to get tickets but without going on an official tour, it's proving difficult - RFL have e-mailed and said they won't be selling tickets and therefore purchase via an Australian outlet but can't find any on sale yet

Try e-mailing the ARL, they should be able to tell you when they are going on sale. Usually in Australia rugby league tickets are sold through [urlhttp://www.ticketek.com.au[/url, but theres nothing for the 4 nations yet.

Im stopping on the Gold Coast from 8.11-15.11. Ill be catching the train into Brisbane on the Saturday morning but with that kickoff time I dont think im going to able to make the last train back to the gold coast. How much is a taxi or is there a greyhound bus?

public transport was free on match days for Brisbane and gold coast (they didnt tell me that when i bought my return to skilled park) i think this is a regular thing not just for the world cup

the airport train doesnt count as its run by another company

thats something we could learn from the aussies...free transport on matchday...though i migh add,for those staying in surfers,broadbeach...etc..the bus from town to the train station is'nt free with a match ticket

Its a bit annoying that its NZ, OZ , NZ, OZ but flights should be pretty cheap in advance

Air Brunei, whist as cheap as chips, makes RyanAir look like the best airline in the world. Broken back seat TV's, or none at all, 9 hour stop overs in Brunei with SFA to do and as for their handling of the volcano issues......it took a week to get less than 100 passengers out of Auckland as they continued to sell tickets to locals in Brunei even when they knew there would be a backlog.......so once flights resumed they left Auckland for Brunei empty...much to the amazement of the stranded few.

Oh, and they are DRY flights and the 9 hours in Brunei airport is DRY as well



jetstar are the cheapest way to get between Australia and New Zealand and if you book early, you will get a good deal.
Lastly, if you are budgeting for hotels, you can get a clean functional room in Wellington/Auckland for about $90 a night for a twin/double.......

Malaysian airlines have the most shocking food of any airline I've ever had the misfortune to fly with.

And if the LHR to KUL leg doesnt make you die of boredom with Malaysians in flight 'entertainment' then the limited economy seat pitch will help fill your arteries with enough DVT to stop a charging rhino.

Take plenty of aspirins to thin your blood my friend, buy some good quality flight socks and drink as much water as you can.

Yea ive heard that a few times before. I just stick to using Cathay Pacific, never had a problem with them and I love how their seats recline forwards...

Singapore Airlines flogs the rest of them.

Plus you can eat Singapore Chilli Crab while in Singers. Worth the price of admission.

And for anyone that fancies a gamble Korean Air have been crash free for quite a few years now. They do some great deals to Oz.

Had no problems with them getting to Auckland for about £580 return in 2009.......great food too!

They were running the risk of getting banned from most of the worlds airports because of their shocking safety record not so long ago!

They used to put you up in a hotel in Seoul overnight (if you were lucky enough to actually make it there with them) if you worked it out right so you had a 16 hour overnight transfer time at Incheon



A good airline to fly with .. if you like Bibimbap!


Definately worth a look for anyone considering the 4 nations trip

....we had to pay a whole $50 US for the night...I saved about $500 on the ciggies I bought! Airport was like a doctors Surgery, only cleaner.
....didn't know I liked it until I flew with them.....but yum!
