Some clubs? Which other clubs do you charge full price?
Yes, some football clubs have tiers for pricing. Those tiers aren't "this price for one club, this price for the rest". That is what your tiers are.
Stop trying to insult the fans with the bullsh*t you're coming out with about "discounts". A discount is a discount if it is below the standard or regular price. The standard or regular price for the South Stand is £10. You almost double it for Hull. I'm glad I've never bought a ticket for that stand.

Ridiculous price for that stand, been in there once and the view is shocking. The fact that the advertising boards are so close to the try line that the first line you can see is the 20m. Would have a better view if I stood on my roof and watched...

You're complaining about having to pay £1 extra for a ticket (which we add to the home tickets as well) with all those £1s going to charity (so about £10,000 raised for charity if you take the season ticket holders out)?
Yeah, that's just the same as greedy Rovers adding £7 to the tickets only for the away fans in the South Stand and pocketing all the money. You greedy greedy sods. Happy to profit off your rivals, and then complain about giving to charity (same as us).
There are a few decent Rovers fans who will openly admit that it is completely wrong what your club do to the Hull fans in this situation. Only the biggest blinkered Rovers fan would believe this crap is fair.

Hang on... the Hull fans went onto the pitch at the end to celebrate (actually, they were already sat past the perimeter fence anyway because of your daft stewards allowing them to). There weren't any Rovers fans for them to attack. So what reason did the Rovers fans come on to the pitch...
Who got the fine again? Was it Hull? Or was it Rovers for being cheap (surprise!) by not employing enough stewards and not training them properly to deal with the situation? Happy to charge the extra pennies, but not to use them for the safety of the fans, eh?

There is nothing wrong with trying to improve the facilities. There is plenty wrong with
1 Ripping off Hull FC fans and only Hull FC fans by charging them extra for fifth rate facilities. There is no excuse and I notice you haven't even trotted out the tired "discount" lie again.
2 Ripping off the ratepayers off Hull by begging for money for a private venture when savage cuts in council services are on the cards. I realise that certain councilors are equally guilty in this case but that doesn't diminish the greed and insensitivity of your ambulance chasing chairman. I hope the rate payers of Hull remember this in the coming local elections.

Nothing wrong with local councils putting money into sports facilities that benefit the local community. Remember were Hull FC play.

| Erik, this isn't me trying to score points, but a serious question. How is it greedy and insensitive to use money earmarked for development projects that are actually in the form of a loan? The money will be paid back with i am sure minimal interest. This money isn't even allowed to be used for paying for things that are going to be cut.
I don't know all of the in and outs of the case, but I am glad that Rovers are finally developing the ground into something worthwhile. We will finally have a stand for the away fans to watch the game from that will have a good view and be under cover (the north stand). So all in all it is progress, unfortunately, there are some people that let their hatred stop them from seeing this.

Strangly FC didn't even though according to the RFL's own rules their fans are their responcibility.
Still if you think you not being charged means your fans did nothing wrong go for it.

If this "loan" actually was one then they could have got it just as easily off the bank, especially given that your chairman gets stroppy when anyone questions the clubs finances - so they must have solid collateral
The terms of this "loan" are effectively a donation in disguise.

But isn't that all in the past now?The thread is about Rovers extending the East Stand.

Exactly! At last an FC fan who is not too short sighted to see this. As I understand it, this stand will also provide huge community links and facilities, so will be giving back to the community.
There is nothing wrong with the council investing in all of our representing sports teams, after all, they all advertise Hull as a City. When FC moved to the KC, I wasn't that short sighted and bitter, as to accuse the council of "diddling" the rate payers!
As for the rest of the thread, I'm assuming the OP started it as a bit of information for fans of other clubs, not to start a bitch fight over the pricing war between FC and KR. Most KR fans realise that our facilities for away fans are far from good enough! The important thing is, that the club are, year on year, delivering on the promises they made about ground improvements. Rome was not built in a day, but soon enough, away fans will have a wonderful stand to sit and watch the game in.
