Incidentally, Lewis and Hanley both rate Sinfield amongst the best players of the modern era. IIRC Lewis voted for him the last time his was nominated for the award.

Wally was a magician with the ball but was often crocked and tended to over dominate his team mates.

Hanley was a pure athlete, an instinctive player.

Sinfield is as has been described by Hanley, consistently good.

Your summary of Lewis is wrong. Wally was rarely injured, yes he was a magician with the ball BUT he could also run it too. Yes he did dominate the teams he represented BUT he was good enough to share such tasks too with a classic 7 like Peter Sterling.

If Leeds win Superleague its not because they won Superleague its because they peaked for three games, and devalued the competition which was apparently to have a good mid-season run then lose 5 of your last 12 games including two semi-finals and losing to all 3 of your realistic challengers thats what true champions do.

If Leeds regularly win the play-offs, the play-offs are wrong, they should be different.
