Actually the British pound has fallen in value a lot in the last 12 months in comparison to the Australian dollar.

And, as someone that has seen the cost of living in the UK, let me tell you that Australians have a much lower cost of living and when you couple that with a better quality of living.....yeah....poor us!

To be fair Sydney is meant to be one of the best value for money places to live in the world.

London is a gazillion times better than Sydney. It's not even close.

I love living in Sydney, it is a lovely place and has a lot to offer, and most of the people are lovely and friendly, but I don't know why some people that live here can't accept that there are no other nice, beautiful places in the world, for some reason some Australians seem so insecure about where they come from.

If it's down to who has the most picturesque bridge, then Millau is a better place to live than either Sydney or London.

Sydney's a beautiful place, but it always feels a little provincial compared to the world's major cities - kind of a lightweight San Francisco.
