Threats to brick the coaches were also heard.

However to the two Leigh fans bundled out by stewards at the end, why didn't you just turn and go.

Got to say, the stewards today did not help at all to settle the situation. A couple of the stewards were offering leigh fans out for a fight, looks very professional for Whitehaven, that does.

Its like I said, this hooligan element is only going to grow. From such small acorns as crazy, motorised wheelchair-bound pensioners, grow the problems of widespread outbreaks of sporadic violence in motorway service station car-parks, and mass town-centre brawls.

McConnell left the field of play. Duffy came on, but hadn't given his card to the official. Referee is informed and so sends Duffy off. McConnell is then told to come back on as, in effect, the substitution had never actually taken place?

Technically if duffy was not given permission to enter the field of play then mcconnell had not offically left the field as which you technically will have had 14 men on the field but i think haven are just clutching at strraws i predict nothing will happen.

It could have all got a bit nasty because of the stewards, especially outside when they were in my opinion looking for a fight, the stewards i mean.

The match comissioner confirmed after the game (Jackie Beech) that Duffy was involved in the tackle that caused Haven to knock on which led to Paul's try from the scrum and that Leigh definetly had 14 men on the pitch for a significant period of time.

This was heard by all on local radio at the end of the game if you wish to dispute it.

The ref was unaware of the ''14th man'' until the match commisioner informed him from the touchline.

As for your well behaved fans - why is it only Leigh who Haven have trouble with?

Well i am not sure what happened, but the people who have seen the dvd say at no time did Leigh play with 14 men, as Fred who makes the dvd says it is all on camera.

got to say as fax supporter we have good banter with leigh but no trouble yet i have seen or heard from.
however when i go to the rec i see and hear of more trouble and same with your lot down the shay.
even 2 year ago u knocked us out of the playoffs and you fans caused trouble at the end pushing fax fans and chucking beer at them.
worse than this was your mascot offering to fight and cause trouble from the sideline again at the end. after that i thought the club of haven would have been pro enough to rid of this idiot from the face of the club but no hes back again the next season.

Funny, the amount of reports I've read from other teams fans saying that Haven isn't somewhere they'd go again is a lot more than those saying they wouldn't come to Leigh again. Which seems to pretty much consist of Haven fans when they've had their usual whupping by us...

As for 14 men, got a link to the statement from the MC as I've not seen anything other than Haven fans bleating about it. What I have read is that the referee was unaware ofthe interchange - a different thing entirely - until informed by the MC.

I wonder which it is, especially given the video evidence that supports Leighs claims?

So just Leigh you have trouble with.....some fans of other clubs seem to disagree with that one. Saints had one extra against Cas in a game a while back. Mike Bennett (i think) was coming on as a sub and ran on and made a tackle before the man going off had completly left the pitch.

That bald prick of a steward has a lot to answer for - I was making my way out of the ground but was very kindly shoved along the way by a steward who, according to some Whitehaven fans I was speaking to once the steward had moved on to other targets, is "always like that".

Suppose he might as well make the most of having away fans actually visit the Rec as I doubt the Skolars or Scorpions will be taking too many up there next season.

So Leigh definitely had 14 men on for a significant period of time eh, what did the report say a couple of seconds. Lets put all this nonsense behind us now and move on. Good luck for the rest of the season.

All that says is that Duffy was on the pitch when the try was scored, it doesn't say the try was scored with 14 men though. It then goes on to say that at some unspecified point in the game, Leigh did have a 14th man on the pitch. It does not connect the two.

I would hardly call 3 seconds 'significant' though.
The way Haven fans have been telling this, Duffy was involved in a move with 13 other Leigh players which is obviously not the case.
