Was surprised there was no real reaction from McShane. Always had him down for quite a feisty, niggly sort of character when he was at Leeds.

Go back and watch mcshane I counted 3 occasions when he can in with the swinging arm! It's rugby lads it's going too get tough and niggly! They all shake hands and show the respect at the end of the match that's all that matters too me!

How many times have you watched us? I would hazard a guess when on TV, which means v two SL teams and Fev. We had 2 SL refs and one championship - which game deteriorated into a farce? What calibre of ref do we normally get?

Champ teams gameplan is slow it down at all costs and niggle - ref controls it and no problem, they just dont control it. Fev had a bit more to it after the rumours spread from that area and the fact that we had done them 5 times on the bounce after they had been top dogs in the division for years

The trend of bad mouthing to the media started when Bradford lost, and some folk believed the sheeite that Lowes/Bulls spouted as to why they lost. Both sides gave some cheap shots early on in a game that was hyped up, but Bradford kicked it off with an assault on McNally that led to the brawl.

Most of the other Championship teams have concentrated on playing Rugby League.

Sorry mate, this is not what happened I was about 10 yeards from this. McNally was flattened with a really bad cheap shot from behind but the behaviour of both sets of players after this is inexcusable.

I think I'm one of the few Leigh fans who realises our team aren't angels, but it is starting to become a one sided witch hunt at the same time.

I think you are confusing this with the punch on Williams by Higson ?? which was a punch from behind.............and very cowardly after he ran in.

What people are forgetting is that RL is a very physical game and in the big games especially players are very pumped up and on the edge already. Handbag incidents then occur. Its not bloody football, if you dont want physical confrontations go and watch that crap.

The witch hunt against Leigh is, in my opinion, based on super league fans and clubs not liking a small town team threatening their once safe haven of a super league place. People are never going to like Leigh and if it wasnt this reason it'd be another.

Maurice is right, unless you have seen a few Leigh games and not a couple on telly then dont try and pass judgment and follow Clarke and Hemmings unfounded comments, you just make yourself look stupid.

I would agree with you if it wasn't for the amount of fans of championship clubs who have also said the same thing. There has to be some truth in what people are alleging even if some of it is embellished a little. FWIW I'm glad in a way that there is a club on the up, as this proves that there is a place for P&R of some sort. What I personally don't like is the arrogance of a lot of Leigh fans who think their club is squeaky clean.

Believe me, the majority of Leigh fans dont think we are squeaky clean, they know we have a problem but it is being blown way out of proportion by people who havent seen enough of us to know the facts. Nor do the majority of Leigh fans think we are unbeatable as some have said. I think these Leigh fans who are getting it wrong are new fans who havent seen both sides of the game to know it properly. Our crowds have more than doubled in the last couple of seasons so this is bound to happen. Maybe we need to lose a couple of games so they get perspective. We'll see how much they are boastng after the Warrington game!

I can see there might be a bit of history between clubs in the Championship but the Bulls don't have any history with Leigh in recent years. I am firmly of the opinion that their approach in that first match was almost choreographed with certain players targeted. I would admit to it being a major culture shock after Super League. I still can't believe that Karl Harrison didn't adequately prepare the players as to what to expect.

I know several Fax fans and they described what would happen almost perfectly ......They also have a low opinion of Karls ability.

I've watched Leigh 9 times this season. 6 live and 3 on TV.

Each time I've watched them it has appeared that Leigh's tactics have been the cause of flare-ups. That view has been backed up by an awful lot of people.

Now this is the key point that some Leigh fans on here are missing. Criticising a team or club does not equate to "hate" (©Salford fans 2014). And pretending that it's somehow everyone else's fault just smacks of delusion or naivety. The same as somehow thinking SL clubs fans think Leigh are somehow threatening their "safe haven" or that they hate small town clubs. That's just deluded rubbish.
I also don't see a witch hunt. I see a continuing issue that isn't being dealt with. This leads to continual comments and so continual denials by those Leigh fans determined to turn their club into some kind of martyr. It is very, very similar to Salford. We've had similar accusations from their fans of "hatred" or "witch hunts" when people pointed out the players they were buying weren't actually that fantastically amazing or that Koukash might not be the RL genius that he was being portrayed as.

I like Leigh when they stop the niggle and play rugby. That's why I went to their games when I could. They're good at it and wouldn't look out of place in SL. They have some cracking players in Brierley etc who are SL standard. I just wish they would tone down the niggle and play rugby more often.

I also wish that Rowley, Beaumont etc would act more professionally and with a bit more humility.

...and that knowledge comes from bitter experience in both respects!

Most Leigh fans will acknowledge that we have one or two wind up merchants (and i very much doubt this is exclusive to Leigh), and play a very physical game and sometimes cross the line (I know this isn't exclusive to Leigh). However, some of the reactions to Sunday's game as been OTT. Suggestions that Hock not being sin binned in first half (No further action from RFL disciplinary) is a justification for Wood's attack on Beswick while he was on the floor is preposterous.

Leigh players were guilty of getting the handbags out too easily on Sunday. 2 Featherstone players have been pulled up for far worse.

There has been a pattern in recent weeks to target Leigh then whinge about it after to a biased press in W Yorks. I want a strong ref every game who takes no this allowing a fast game to be watched- certain coaches do not want that when playing leigh

Mo, Hock has been charged with a grade A offence for the slap in first half.

Apart from a petulant slap from Hock there was nothing more than handbags from Leigh for the rest of the match. Aggressive yes and lots of pushing and posturing but nothing nasty.

Fev have been charged with headbutting a man who was on the floor, then eye gouging the same player straight after. Another lad charged with a reckless high tackle.

Leigh were by no means angels but I think claiming it was 'retaliation' from Fev is a very soft argument. Even if it were true I don't think 'retaliation' is any excuse for eye gouging a player on the floor, do you?

Yet beswick get away with Gouging Wood. Not condoning what wood did, but he retaliated to being Gouged. He's had photos of his eye taken after the game.
