| Well done the BBC - Crabtree is intelligent and informative.Far superior to Skys tired presentation.

| Agree with comments already made and a vast improvement on French and Davies.
On the flip side though, there was plenty going on in yesterdays game.
Played at breakneck speed, plenty of errors, some excellent tries and when Monaghan tipped the ball back inside on the last play I thought Wire would score.
All good stuff !

| Think Mark Chapman is from Oldham originally but brought up in Nrth Manchester so should know his stuff. He mentioned about watching the 85 final as a kid too so he's not a total newcomer.

| I do like the way they're starting to groom some of the players for media careers, but they do need to be slightly more selective sometimes. Eorl obviously does a great job on TV and the radio, Wilkin is slowly starting to move into the sphere (imo he has potential), Tomkins needs a little more work on the media side, but at least he's getting exposure. Whereas Peacock et al unfortunately are never going to be the best to put in front of a camera, through no fault of their own.

| the sight of Ian Millward stood next to Eorl Crabtree & Mark Chapman is pure comedy.
sure the Beeb gives Millward a oversized microphone to boot.
A couple more Camera positions would help but the use of current players & coaches and good commentators like Woods. means there's a steady stream of relevant points being raised rather than soundbites & cliche's.

Don't let the BBC presenter front fool you. He's a northerner from Rochdale and Sale. He'll be well aware of the Wigan success of the 80's/90's and our little northern sport that is "The greatest game in the world"

| My only gripe with the BBC's coverage is at HT when Robbie pesters a clearly knackered player for an interview as they're walking off the pitch. Other than that it's fantastic and far superior to Sky.

I've been impressed with Wilkin. He might be a whinging tart on Grand Final day but both on the bbc and whenever he's been interviewed as head of the players union he's come across well.

| Sunday's presentation was a breath of fresh air - the pre-match stuff with Mark Chapman and Big Eorl was excellent; not keen on Millward's involvement though - he's too prone to Stevo style monologues, where he loses himself part way through and ends up talking tripe. I also found RHP's interjections a bit jarring - clumsy and a bit amateurish.
The in-match commentary from Dave Woods was the highlight for me - he seems able to speak fluently about the game without the need to look for controversy, or to gush about one player in particular; a massive improvement over Hemmings.

I'm sick of seeing and hearing Wilkin, he's overused by the BBC in my opinion. A hypocrite for whinging about the media and then taking their shilling.

Woods is prone to errors, albeit not as many as Ray French but he does get players names wrong, and the amount of times he called Briers "Bryars" in the last 2 minutes was comical.

I've yet to be convinced by Chapman, St Claire still looks like too much of an act for him to follow. Thought Sunday's coverage was an improvement on Saturday's - French and Davies were terrible, would have been better off with French and Saunders!

Perhaps if Lee Briers had been playing during this period, rather than Briars, Warringtion may have won!
I agree with most of whats been said before, though I think the only issue with the coverage was there was no Clare Balding. (And yes, I do realise the reason for it.)

I can cope with a creative pronunciation or two - much better than Hinge & Bracket arguing amongst themselves and dissecting every decision the ref makes in an attempt to create controversy.

I don't understand why they persist with RHP, he hasn't improved one bit in recent years so just get rid. He spoils an otherwise decent and professional team.

Yes but he appears to one of the "inner circle" along with Millward and Noble. One reason for me why Superleague Show is such a turnoff. Lets get rid of them and just keep Tanya!!

That does seem to be something of an issue with both broadcasters; I don't know anything about how TV works, but there does seem to be reluctance to change faces, unless they're involved in some kind of sex scandal of course.

| Sky's production values are higher, although they focus too much on trying to create controversy and scrutinising the performance of the officials.
The BBC, when they use Woods and either Kear or Noble, edge it in commentary. Sky have become formulaic and predictable, with Stevo just trotting out the same random phrases like John Motson on an old version of FIFA.

| I agree with the comments about the BBC team. Long may it continue
I disagree with the (early page) comments about Sky. They are just different. Wells, McDermott and Carney I like a lot. Clarke I like but he needs a different role.
Stevo I think is coming to the end of his time but I'm ok with Eddie. I think we could just do with some variety in his role.
Rod Studd I can't decide.
