Its a shame that as long as Leeds are near the top and have the chance to win a trophy the Giants just wont get a look in.

Your team deserves bigger crowds. You've certainly progressed as a club, but I've just checked the average attendances for the last four seasons and they've just stagnated at around 7,800. Be nice to see your club push the 8,000 mark for the first time. A good chance of this happening this season hopefully.

Most of those big name players are signed up on 4 or 5 year deals Brough, Brown, Robinson, Lunt, Crabtree to name but a few.

WSe would have been breaking the 8,000 barrier this season BUT being on Sky so much is caning the attendances.

We have always been a Sunday afternoon team, we are struggling to adapt to playing evening games.

40% of our season ticket holders do not attend evening KOs whether Sky are there or not.

Tonights silly KO time did not help. lots of people are still at work at 5pm. If it had been an hour later we would have had and extra couple of hundred there.

That's excellent news for the Giants. What a well run club. If you can tie down Scott Grix you've got an excellent (English) long-term spine to your side that will provide you with the stability to kick on & perhaps attract even bigger crowds.

The F.A. cup final may have had some bearing on the crowd today, and who the hell works on a saturday.

What i meant was being on Sky affects away fans coming and the late KOs affect our own supporters . A lot of us hate evening KOs.

It should be ALL british talent with a british coach, but considering the since the 1982 threshold we still are no nearer beating the Aussies then taking the easy option has become the british way.

To be fair, compared to other codes/sports, RL are at least partially addressing the issue.

British sport, more precisely the British sporting public want to see the very best players no matter where they are from, and quite right.

Previously we haven't got the best, we've got had beens and never weres.

And in the last 4N England sent a team that could and should hve competed. It just sent it with the millstone coaching of MacBanana.

im a very proud giants fan right now, after many many years of dross and near bankruptcy,low crowds,regular hammerings etc, to now be where we are now is great, and to do it with a squad of very good young british players as opposed to marquee overseas signings is an even greater feeling.

as for the crowds, as DG states the sky games really do bugger our crowds up,the amount of people in huddersfield who choose to watch the games at home or in the pubs/clubs is staggering.also 5PM on a saturday didn't help,huddersfield town were also involved in a play off game at bournemouth although im not sure what effect it would have had on the giants game,we have had a bit of a rough time lately with kick off times.

Well done Huddersfield, an excellent example really of what we need to see in super league with a license system in place. I for one, would be delighted for the good of the English game if Huddersfield won the grand final this year
