I was very encouraged when on our second set of the game a scoot set was called, we ran 50 odd metres and got a penalty, then Burgess scored off that next set. Thought that'd keep our forwards fresh for later. Wasn't expecting the poor completions and more tackles after.

You're right that's totally his fault and not the defensive line in general. He's stood the correct distance from his centre, if he was any further outside there'd be a huge gap inside him.

Australia have not had to win this game, England have handed it to them. Once again mutiple knockons in our own 20 and dumb penalties conceded right from the off. The kick defence is so poor the aussies were laughing at it.
The England tactics appeared to be try and play some football, pass it about to score rather than just barge it in (good plan) but errors mean we only had two opportunities to do it, one try scored and one kick at goal (mistake, should have run it).

This is supposed to be a TEST match, Aussies havnt been tested in the slightest.
