No Tuivasa-Sheck (still injured). That is worth 6-10 points for Wigan.
Also, the Roosters have not had a serious game together yet this year, because most of the team played a trial match when the scrum half and hooker were playing in the Auckland Nines. I suspect the Roosters will be a bit rusty in the first half, and then pull away in the second half, before Sonny Bill Williams is taken off for preservation.

Couldn't give a shiny s***e about McDermott's definition of "true RL supporters". I'm a Roosters fan and have been since 2003 so I will be supporting them.

| I'm as happy as anyone to see Wigan get a kicking (thank you Huddersfield!) but I'd back anyone versus the Aussies. Especially another British team.
I'll be a Wigan fan for 80 mins.

Can anyone recommend a good therapist because this is far from normal behaviour.

| As my team got a dam good thrashing twice last year by the pies I will be hoping they win, then at least I can use the best team in the world beat us excuse.
hope it is a close game & I give some credit to the Roosters as they were at least happy to have the game at home as opposed to some who thought it was to much of a gamble to play it in Australia as no one would watch outside the regular season.

| I'm Leeds but will be on Wigan's side. As a 'neutral' though this year I can't say I'm anywhere as interested in/looking forward to the game as a whole compared to Wigan's last contest vs St George. The match taking place over in Australia has made it less of an attraction for me.

| After suffering 3 months of gloating and pee taking off the Aussies during the recent Ashes series, who really wants some more?
Well me actually. As a Saints fan there's no way could I cheer for our friends from Greater Manchester. Ever. It goes against my DNA.
However, if they do repeat their 1994 win Down Under, I will, begrudgingly, congratulate them.

Well either Wigan play out of their skins or the Roosters are directed to take the foot of the gas.
On Paper how many Wigan players would make the Roosters squad?

A few I think. Charnley, Taylor, McCollurm, Bateman and O'loughlin would be names that sprang to mind although I haven't seen a massive amount of them recently.

Some of those players would struggle to get an NRL contract never mind with the Premiers.
Micky Mac do you really think he is any good against quality opposition.
Charnley.... Roger Tuavasa Shek..... Ill take Roger.
We shall see, I hope O'Loughlin gets on the field he has a habit of missing big games like these, he is catching up with Keiron Cunningham for the nickname of "sick note" or no show.
19 Tests in 10 years.

I think he's a better hooker than Mortimer and I think Charnley is a better winger than SKD or Tupou.
Roosters have 2 genuine world class players, SBW and Cordner, but O'Loughlin is better than FPN, Guerra and Aubusson.
Theres some really good players in SL, if you watched without green and gold tinted glasses on you'd realise it.

Well I do watch some Super League and i agree there are some good players but the intensity is on another level, Half of the games are walkovers, a few are contests and a few more are real arm wrestles.
That is the big difference.
You can easily look like a champion when you are carving up Paddock teams that have no defensive structures or even basic technique
Minichiello looked pretty good last year and again for Italy.
You don't rate JWH? he was considered one of the best Forwards in the World last year
Michael Jennings an Australian Test Centre.
Dylan Napa will be the next big thing at Prop.
We shall see.

| The Roosters will likely play two wingers rather than just one (some cutting edge RL tactics for you there) so they could play both Charnley and Tuivasa-sheck.
So you may not take Charnley over Tuivasa-Sheck but id definitely take him over someone like Tupou.
Similarly MciLorum is a decent (if a little over-rated by some)hooker, you can debate if you want that you would take Friend over MciLorum, but if you took L’estrange over McIlorum you would be nuts.
And yeah, Cordner, Frank-Paul, JW-H SBW, are quality forwards, Aubusson, Moa, Guerra meh!

If both teams turn up and play to their potential and the Refs have no bearing on the game.
It will be similar to Australia V England in a Final.
40-8 or there about.

Where did I say I didn't rate them? There's some exceptional RL players in the Roosters squad and some good but exceptionally coached, I expect them to go back to back, but to say some would struggle to get an NRL contract is a bit laughable when you consider a few who's got one.

if Luke Burgess and Mike Cooper (amongst others) can get NRL contracts, then the actual standard for getting a deal over there is not actually that high.
Pat Richards has got an NRL contract, and Charnley is a far superior player to him.

Well its good that you have your excuses in early, and you have set the parameters of a contest that 'counts'
Frankly if the Roosters dont prepare well and dont play well then that is entirely on them, they knew this game was happening and they can't get up for it that is a failure in their make up. If they lose because they dont prepare properly or arent motivated then Wigan will be the better team. Preperation and motivation are part of a winning team.
Only losers blame the ref. There are 80 mins to win a game, if you lose it, you lose it because you werent good enough.

No, you said "Roosters have 2 genuine world class players"
How is JWH, or Mini not World class?
They have all done far more than Charnley or Mikey Mac at Test level.
Who is laughable and survived in the NRL for long?
You make get a contract that is match payments only to back yourself and never play a first grade game, How did Worrincy go at the Windsor Wolves?
Going back in time one of the most laughable deals ever was Shaun Edwards, didn't he light it up when he made the Bench.

Jordan Tansey played first grade for the Roosters, Richie Mathers played first grade for the titans.
Tame Tupou was a first grader and top try scorer for the Broncos when he came over and stunk up the place. Ben Cross played SoO and Leeds decided to go with nothing rather than finish the season with him.
There are some outstanding players in the NRL, some wonderful world class footballers. There is also some dross. Most of the big sides squads would get a gig in the NRL.
