What Clarke actually said was that Huddersfield’s focus should not be on scoring – that they should be capable of scoring 10 points in the remainder of the game and should not concede any more. As this comment was made when Warrington had just forced a goal line drop out at 24-16 up it seems to me to be eminently sensible to be focussing on not conceding any more points

As it happens, the Giants did repel that attack and then straight away another set of 6 from another forced goal line drop out and then went in to score themselves to take the game to 24-22 with 7 minutes remaining

While the Giants did not go on to win the game, the comment by Clarke to focus on defence and keep themselves in the game was very sensible (as you would expect from a former Great Britain captain)

This whole debate started with you criticising Clarke for saying that the Giants priory is not scoring. I pointed out that he didn’t actually say that (the fact that they should focus on defence when lining up to take a goal line drop out is surely beyond debate!)

Yet you still continue to argue about this concept of priority on what is essentially a made up quote. I’m not sure there is a conclusion to a debate about the relevance or accuracy of something that wasn’t actually said so I will gracefully exit stage left from this thread
