8 times this season in games we’ve scored 30 points or more...7 times Brough was scrum half and the other was Reynolds...

Six of those games ended in wins are were probably our best performances over the season and Brough played in them all.

Having had Hampshire on loan Powell wanted to sign him, the problem was he had the same agent (Andy Clarke) as Solomona and because of this Cas would not deal with him, whatever else went on I don't know, but that's the reason he did not sign and nothing really to do with what position he wanted to play.

If Hampshire was Australian or over 30 he would’ve gotten his contract instantly.

I cannot comprehend St Helens releasing a player of the quallty of Kyle Amor.

I always rated Hampshire at Wigan. He seemed the perfect foil for Williams but when his chance came to play in his preferred position, because of a long term injury, he had already had a major dummy spit and been sent out on loan. He seems to be a player who has a very fixed idea of his own worth that is not matched by his progress. I could see him playing for the promoted team and doing a very good job if he can match his expectations to those of his employer.

Would he, why's that then? It's not like we've not extended contracts on literally tons of Aussies we've had and older players, like England, Tyler Randell and Horo this season. So your argument sort of collapses in on itself. Apart from the glaring fact he was offered one and HE choose to not except.

I think you have to remember Amor is now 32, this wouldn't surprise me. I did mention this on the Wakey forum a few weeks back...

With Walmsley, Thompson, LMS, Lees and Amor all being available for Prop I can't see St Helens fighting too hard to keep hold of Amor, especially as they'll probably be looking to replace Luke Douglas following his retirement.
