so soccer in australia has no major sponsors, or RU or AFL.

That is the really sad thing - Dally does actually believe the stuff he writes - incredible I agree.

Perhaps if he actually read what other posters put and responded to the points raised rather than avoiding the ones that push him into a corner then you might take him a bit more seriously and when he isn't trying to score points he does make some very valid and interesting points - unfortunately these posts are really in the minority

Most posters on here with a modicom of brain power will admit that GB RL is light years behind the quality on offer from both Australia and New Zealand and that the top teams in the NRL are significantly better than their counterparts in the SL.

Maybe they think Johns is an unhappy pom when he criticises his own sordid behaviour. Maybe they think the TV executives , sports administrators and sponsors who have shown their disgust with Johns are all poms





This is not a nationalistic issue. In most advanced countries there are pockets of these hillbilly types. They think gang banging with an audience is normal. they do not understand that people have different moral values and that these people tend to run organisations. They are also simpletons who cannot write coherently and even fantasise about what other posters are doing!

The fall out from the Johns case is very encouraging.

Major companies with a moral compass do not wish to be associated with Johns, Cronulla et al. Of course the companies may not be so moral. They may simply realise that the majority of potential customers find the whole thing sordid and do not like companies to be associated with such behaviour.
