The "Kappa" effect.

I agree. It's pretty much a copy of River Plate's kit.

| That's the club I was thinking of that had a shirt very similar - I'd been through AC Milan's, a couple of Dutch Clubs, as well as other South American sides and I couldn't find the Club in mind, lol can't believe I forgot about RP.

Love the green one but it is 100% the same as Canberra in the 1990s. Check out virtually any Laurie Daley picture of the time to see it. ( I still do not know how to add pictures).

| O/T but interesting to see the England netball team have signed a deal with Nike. How can netball attract Nike and all we can atttact is an Aussie company in ISC who are pretty unknown globally. I think the biggest one involved in RL is Kappa (who we're rumoured to be with) but it's not exactly Nike, Umbro, Adidas etc. I think Puma sponsoring England 10 years a go was last time a global sports brand was involved in the sport. For a club, i think it was Wigan with Nike 20 years a go. Do you reckon anyone even goes to these companies to make them an offer?

It depends on the deal that manufacturers are willing to enter into. Farsley Celtic had "Nike" shirts, but they didn't receive a penny for them - they were the same shirts that you could get from DW Sports' teamwear range. Leeds, for example, have a ten-year commercial agreement with ISC that I imagine is worth a few quid.
But it's also worth noting that women's sport is something a lot of big companies are willing to get into - it is something that may align to their corporate social responsibilities strategies as well as their wider marketing plans, and it appeals to a large number of potential consumers who may not be attracted to 'male' sports. The audience for the women's FA Cup final is very different to the audience for the men's FA Cup final.
There are a lot of good reasons for companies to invest in women's sports that most male sports - RL included - don't align with.

First of all Nike do not give a stuff about Rugby League. Nor do Adidas and the licensee of Puma, Genesis, might care if someone that sells more than 5000 replica became available such as Wigan/Warrington however other than that they are not that bothered.
Apart from the fact they do not care about RL they only supply bespoke/sublimated to very high level Football clubs such as Man Utd and Chelsea meaning clubs would have to choose from a couple of brochure Rugby Union shirts and print on all of their sponsors etc.
ISC, XBlades, Oneills, errea etc are all geared up for manufacturing their own kit and teamwear which provides clubs with a far more personal service which is actually perfect for the demands of RL. Try asking a Union Club or University who wear Canterbury or Kukri about the horrors of waiting 16/18 weeks for those brands as they don't own their own factory meaning they are always late delivery. ALWAYS!! This is why those 4 brands dominate UK Rugby League.
As for Kappa it is not 'Kappa' doing the deal, it is a UK licensee called SFD Finance or something. Any deal is financed by the UK licensee and manufactured in France at a Kappa approved factory but nothing to do with the brand direct.
Bradford wanted a ridiculous deal, especially considering at the time they were in League One, so it will either be ISC retaining or Kappa who have paid it. I cannot see another brand wanting to pay that sort of money when they already have the UK's leading clubs under contract.

Home tops OK but would have been brilliant without the silly black background patter. The away kit is what it is.

| I like that away shirt, very smart decision to incorporate the sponsor colours into the design and colour scheme of the shirt itself. The end result is a very smart looking kit.

Away shirt looks like the title squeaked to early 80's sci-fi Sappire and Steel.

| A couple of good efforts from Hudds. They sometimes do a unique looking away shirt with dubious results (the one from either 2012/13 with the white splotches on was god awful) but this one is really good.

| Hull Kr away shirt is very smart and big wraps to the sponsors as well for the colour changes to their logos in order for it to come together properly.

Looks a bit plain and boring. Nice that the sponsors logo changes colour but again I dislike changing the club badge on away kits to suit the shirt. Your badge represents your club and for me shouldn’t be altered colour wise regardless of what the shirt looks like.
Got to say at well, the state of some of their promotional shots. A bunch of fans walking down a tunnel with half empty bottles of Carling in their hands looking like rejects from some football hooligan film starring Danny Dyer. Really the best they could do?
