| All our forwards take a bow, Gale and Brown when it came to it simply weren't good enough, Burgess showed again what we all know he'll drop it too often.
Put SoL in that match and we win, put Taylor and Tomkins in there and we win not quite at a canter but that's as good a chance as we'll get but we now know we can beat them but not with Gale and Brown

| Lack of attacking intelligence cost us. Zak Hardaker has a lot to answer for. Gale had a great game, but his decision making in the Aussie 20 was way off the required standard.
But it was a great game, and a great way to end the tournament.

| Absolutely amazing performance from everyone, defence and effort was outstanding. Problem was our decision-making on Australia's line, and error rate. Poor.
And yet again, more proof why NEUTRAL REFEREES are a must. He hammered us all game. I've said it many times, even if they try to be neutral, unconscious bias is impossible to avoid. Swing the possession he handed to Australia back to us and we're in that game.
Sort it out RLIF, fookin joke.
Well done lads, tough outcome.

| Also, too many home decisions by Sutton, not a great deal but in a 6-0 match that's the difference

| Not seen England defend like that...ever. Would you keep Bennett on and build over 4 years for the next one? Build around George Williams at 6 IMHO

| We're 1 good halfback (and a fit SO'L) away from beating them.
Really need somebody better than Gale/Brown to partner Widdop, and then hopefully Tomkins getting back to his best or Shaul massively improving his link up play.
I think Williams needs to be in this team.

| JG absolutely distraught, he, walmsley and Hill put in a ridiculous shift.
The left centre again proving to not work, a few changes and we win

| Brilliant effort! Lots to build on. If we were at home we'd have snuck the win.
Havent been convinced with Bennett but got to give him his due his tactics were spot on today just the execution let us down. I'd offer him another 2 years and continue to build.

| Don't think Bennet will continue but if he did he should have Powell as assistant over Betts. The lack of points was always a worry pre match.

NO, ultimately he made decisions re personnel and the style of play and it didn't work.
We won't get better with respect to the way we played as SoL, Graham, Hill and others won't be there in 4 years time.
We need to rethink things.

| England were immense and the players should be proud of their efforts. We were arguably the better side and had more opportunities to score - we just couldn't take any of the chances we had.
That was an epic game worthy of being a world cup final.

| Great performance. I thought they were gone early second half but regrouped and looked the stronger team. All players stepped up although Brown was very poor and in effect threw the game away with a lose pass. When he went off we looked better, but sadly Widdop not a stand off - we always moves right, is indecisive and then steps back inside or throws a wild right pass. We need a stand off. Gale finally stepped up (one daft pass apart) and played well. Tom Burgess was Himslef - ran hard but dropped it too often. Hill outstanding as was Bateman. Special world for Watkins too - looked the business tonight.

| Thoroughly enjoyed that.
Superb effort from both sides, a proper contest.
On the plus side "Big Nige" looks to have lost a bit of weight.

| Good game to watch but ultimately frustrating again.Bateman at left centre just killed any attacking play that side but he tried hard and Bennett picked him out of position so I don't blame the player. We came so close with inferior half backs and only the one back who had real pace. That game was there to be won but again the Aussies win.

The Aussie lad who scored.
Wow if Jerry passes to Gale at the end there he goes untouched under the sticks! !!
