If Crusaders or HKA were asking for help organising paperwork I wouldnt have a problem.
they arent helping them out with the paperwork. They are expediting Hull KRs circumventing the rules when they should be doing what they can to stop circumventing the rules by all clubs.

They have expedited a circumvention of their own rules to bring in another overseas player when their public position is to reduce those numbers and is what the rule was put in place for.

But they aren't are they? In the HDM the RFL state that in cases such as this the RFL can apply discretion which they are doing no breaking of rules, no allowing breaking of rules. As I said in a previous post, just because you don't agree with the rules, it doesn't make it any less of a rule.

No they're not. They are allowing a club to de-register a player. Which is allowed in the Operational Rules. Which other rules should the RFL not let clubs abide by? Or is it just Hull KR. Why aren't you getting this upset over Pat Richards Irish passport? Or Brent Webb's exclusion from the Non-Fed Trained list?

No I haven't, you have contradicted yourself several times on this thread, often within the same post. You started off being happy that it would go to the RFL board if it was exceptional, that then changed when you quickly remembered how much you dislike Hull KR. You admitted yourself it was an exceptional case, then you decided it wasn't, then you decided it was. The same goes for your reluctance to admit that Hull KR haven't actually broken any rules.

Either it is an exceptional case and worthy of RFL Board discussion or it isn't, there is no halfway house with this.

i'd love it if the rfl don't allow dobson to be reregistered this season. it's about time they stood up to scally clubs like hull kr with their blatant flouting of the spirit of the rules. in this case the rfl actually have the power to stop someone abusing the quota system. there's absolutely no chance of them blocking it though. i think maybe an rlfans campaign should be launched with everyone writing to the rfl to protest against this potential move.

i also find it funny how rover's fans think hudgells some kind of legal whiz kid. this is contract law, neil hudgell is an ambulance chaser!

You think he spent all his time at uni and subsequent training just on accident law, you f'wit, he is a lawyer with a very successful practice, we also have several very astute business people on our board, so forgive us if we don't worry too much about what some halfwit thinks. Also, for your information this is NOT the first time such a move has been made by a club and in those cases the RFL saw no problems, as they no doubt will not in our case.

Just because you have a hatred for all things Hull KR, does not mean the RFL should make decisions based on the rantings of a brain dead moron.

who said anything about it not been fair? rover's are once again showing themselves to be a joke with even more flouting of the rules to get even more overseasplayers on their books. they're not just an embarrassment to themselves and their fans but to the game as a whole. its a constant stream of events like this that are slowly turning people (like myself) away from the game, it really is a second rate, poorly run, shambles of a sport.

anyway i've heard more whinging today from rover's fan than i have anyone else's. even your own lot think its a disgusting way to carry on. but cheating and whinging is the east hull way

Not the time for crowing by Rovers fans, we may get our own way on this but it's hardly going to endear us to all the other clubs.

There's talk across these boards (from people who seem to have the inside line) that we and the RFL have had our hand forced on this.

Perhaps the legal people who post here could extrapolate, but is this how law evolves? Is this a test case?

I'd love to explain, but I can't, as I've already stated over on the Rovers' board, I have no knowledge of anything.

I'm not responsible for my club, I've merely turned up, bought a ticket and enjoyed the rugby league for the last thirty years.
