Didn't HKR's chairman recently claim that SL clubs were posting average annual losses of £500k? And that Rovers needed to play to crowds of 10k to break even? In that economic climate it's hard to imagine that there won't be several clubs ready to leap out of SL at the end of the current round of franchises.

If any other club gets booted out super dupper league than Celtic it will prove just once and all that rugby League is the most corrupt sport in England.

union was miles ahead of league in france in the 1930s.

then because of people like jean gallia RL got to a position where union was dieing.

the people of france have shown that in a fair contest between league and union we win.

thats why expansion into france is such an easy option for SL

with the continued success of club RL, the more enterprising union clubs will want to join the fold.

As much as I have to say it, the main problem with Union is the scrum. Scrums in the professional era are causing long term injuries that were not seen during the amatuer era. Remove the contested scrum and you're on your way to League...

And kicking.

And line outs.

And 4 too many men on the pitch.

Sort that out and it would be a belting game

I enjoy both sports but I do find that the kicking has increased in union and friends I have spoken to about this have said it's a bad thing.

Too many men? Don't get rid of the flankers. They're the best position in union.

Not too bothered how they get rid of them but I think 30 men on a pitch doesnt create enough space often enough for folk to play fast open rugby.

I'd even conceed keeping rucks rather than PTB if it kept them happy
