In play off games at Hull and Wigan we filled back of sticks ok there may have been the odd spare seat but not many!
It was obviously going to be liek that they were massive games for us!
Not that it mattes as this was in 2004 ffs!

He's kind of right we almost did I was there. The fugure we took to Hull was given as 3,800 if memory serves. Not quite filling it but not far off. At Wugan due to them opening only one turnstile many Trin fans missed the first half. But again I'd guess similar. We actually travel rather well.

Always had a very good and loyal hardcore. Attracting the ones beyond the hardcore has always been the problem, and Belle Vue is a lot to do with that. A new stadium will add on a few thousand extras who want to see something new, will add on more away fans who will be interested in a new stadium, and with a good ticketing strategy, I can easily envisage a 10,000 average. Other clubs will laugh at the figure, but last year's average was over 7,000, and so how much harder would it be to add on 3,000 in a new stadium? The people of Warrington can answer that question.
As an example, how many more existing fans will encourage a friend to go along, or will take their kids when they don't now because they know their kids won't get a good view? Compare how many away fans go to Huddersfield than come to Belle Vue.
It has to be remembered that Wakefield is a rugby town with a long and rich rugby history. It's not like pulling them into Quins. The interest is there, and the willingness to be interested, and so watch this space.

| Good news for Wakefield and I hope it comes off. Most of the criticisms of the club have ed around the existing dilapidated stadium.
With, hopefully, increased crowds in a new stadium the club will be in a very strong position.

Yes, a lot of criticism of the club has centred around the existing dilapidated stadium. It is the biggest black mark against the club.
However a lot of sceptics on this thread have argued that the Wakey fans are getting too excited too soon, because of the economic climate.
It is going to be very, very hard to raise the money for such a project at this time. Sir Rodney Walker may be a great dealmaker, but he cannot change the psychology of gloom and doom that exists in the business community. When the clouds of recession lift, it could be another story. But no one knows when that will happen. And the clock is ticking for Wakefield (and Cas, and Salford) as we head towards 2011.

There's nothing wrong with being sceptical and the proof of the pudding will be in the eating, as they say. At the moment they have got over the first hurdle (of many) but it is a step in the right direction. The club now has the challenge of delivering the stadium and good luck to 'em I say.

So what about Bradford Albert?
After all Odsal is really like an oversized Belle Vue, but because of their 'recent' success, are they infallible in your eyes?

That was what fans at Salford and Castleford were saying 18 month ago. A word of warning, don't believe it until you see them digging the foundation or in the case of Halifax putting the roof on some ten years later!
I hope work begins when you say it will but pride comes before a fall and even Saints are not above the vagueries of Stadium developments.
So for now you are basically in the same boat as the rest of us with a few more boxes ticked - are you not. In which case said troll should have included you.

I did not forget about Saints and Bradford.
Saints are much more advanced than the ones I listed - Wakefield, Cas and Salford. I am not worried about Saints. They will be as much a success in building a modern stadium as they are in everything else.
I am worried about Bradford. Their stadium is not up to standard, and they are losing massive numbers of spectators every week by not having a modern stadium. Part of the problem Bradford faces is the influx of Asian immigrants in recent years who don't give a damn about rugby league. But Bradford's stadium is not as dire, not as repugnant, as Belle Vue. Moreover, Bradford remains a much more serious rugby league community than Wakefield. It is ticking off more boxes of the Super league franchise criteria than Wakefield. Bradford will probably scrape through in 2011.

2nd of all Alice's Phallus you chat sum right bollox
Now to cas' averave crowds.
8003 current. home games remaining
Leeds Est 11,000
Warrington 7.5-8,000
Catalans 7-7,500
Hull FC 10,000
Hull KR 9-10,000
Wigan 8-9,000
Celtic (last home game) 7,000
Do the sums, That might wipe the smirk off your face.

Is that a recent phenomenon? I really don't see your logic here, an influx of people who "don't give a damn about rugby league" would have zero effect on Bradfords crowds. What exactly are you trying to say?

WTF -- You write some real garbage.
To even suggest the Asian migrant numbers in Bradford are affecting/will affect Bradford is bordering on the insane.
The non white population of Bradford rose by approx 2% from 1991 to 2001. and most of the non white pop.arent classed as immigrants - they are British born.
The next census isnt due while 2011.
So pray tell,,how do you know there has been an influx of Asian immigrants in Bradford.
Bradford are not losing massive numbers because of their stadium -- their losing numbers because of their on field performances

l would like to know yours that suggests otherwise!!!???
Why are Bradford's Crowds falling again??? Is it because ''immigrant Asians" are not bothered about rugby league???? You really are stupid aren't you!!........Firstly how ignorant are you?? Secondly, how do crowds fall as a result of people who have never gone to games
