How many, where and for how long? If so why are we excited by a jnr team starting up in Wrexham, surely if the development officers are doing their jobs there will be plenty of jnr teams now in Wales?

a loan which has security ie a charge / mortgage over the ground in wrexham so the RFL know they are getting their money back

the positive spin offs with having a SL team in wales have been massive, probably worth 3 or more heartland SL clubs

if they go international competition will weaken, youll lose potential viewing numebrs in wales plus the junior development will slow down

putting RL in new areas is a tough job but the rewards can be massive

speaking to someone high up in the crusaders ranks previously he advised me that much of the development work which has occurred in wales wouldnt have happened without the establishment of the crusaders in SL.

without a SL team where would the welsh juniors go, to an english club

a SL club is the pinnacle of the game, something that not only helps develop the sport, but gives the juniors something to aspire too

what negative press? a couple of stories blown out of proportion on internet forums with champ. clubs with an axe to grind.

Dally, you do realise that you're probably doing more harm for the cause than good by constantly having a dig and goading fans of lower league clubs, don't you?

Why can't you just talk about the good points of the story, rather than use it as a tool to wind other people up?

That's how it has always worked. Warrington have a couple of Welsh internationals in their junior ranks.

And having a London based SL hasn't stopped Londoners moving to northern clubs.

I cant understand why an australian wants to see the demise of 20 odd english RL clubs whilst seeing every rule in the book broken to protect a club 40 minutes from widnes and warrington.

No, they haven't. Oldham haven't played in SL for a long time and Haven have never done so.



If Wakey go bust and don't return to the game even as a CC then yes the money recently given to them will have been wasted.

Whilst this is true, it is also true that some clubs' games are worth more than others and the smaller clubs are subsidised by the bigger ones.

And if they didn't keep ing money up the wall with hair brained notions then we'd be a lot better off. New ideas are fine, if they are good ideas but new ideas for the sake of new ideas is the kind of sheer stupidity that has held the game back for decades.

Prejudice and bigotry are no justification for a SL club in Wales or anywhere else.
