A super league club is in real danger of being relegated automatically this year with how the fixtures pan out. With Leigh losing today, Catalan losing & Widnes witth their game tomorrow.

Warrington will win the league and probably won't lose a game.

Can see that London v Leigh & Catalan v Widnes games being very pivotal in the MPG & relegation ride. They'll be the two games on TV on that last Saturday.

I think Leigh will go down in 6th place with Catalan v London for the MPG.

Bloody hope Leigh aren't on, lots got coaches and hotels booked based on Friday - could they change it ??

No games currently on sky that weekend apart from Catalans. If it's tight, I'd expect that to be on. Also, based on the games, it's the only one that London have on a Friday and I don't think they've had any Friday home games this season so would expect it to be changed on that too.

Another interesting battle in the super eights too for the top four. Leeds have a five points clearance of fifth place which could be six if they beat St Helens next week, seven if Leeds win and Salford lose.

Baying for blood (i.e. relegation), has been popular for 1000s of years. Look at the roman gladiators.

Winning the GF is popular if you support a top club, but even neutrals are interested in life or death games.

Then why such a huge difference in attendances etc?

1300 fewer people watched Warrington v Les Catalans in the S8's than in the regular season.

This supposed life and death gladiatorial battle that should be highlight got only 5.3k

last years million pound game got about 1600 fewer than Hull KR's average.

It's a real shame they haven't got a smaller quota in the championship, might do Catalans some good.

If Catalans are relegated it will be hilarious to watch the usual suspects initial schadenfreude be replaced by the dawning realization that the heartland championship sides will need to deal with losing home games against Bradford and Hull KR and replacing them with Toronto and Les Catalans and the prize money and games against SL for the top 4 possibly going to London, France x2 and Canada.

Wigan could be one win off after next weekend.

Wakey will be 4th on 28
Wigan will be 5th on 27 joint with Saints.....

Think they will come down to the wire on that 4th spot who know they will have to travel to Cas.

Widnes win and London draw with Fev.

Going to be a right dog fight, Warrington will win the league, hard to predict places 2-6, big game for London next week at Rovers, probably a must win game for them.

Huge game between Catalans and Leigh as well.

under their previous coach, catalan at least had some flare and use to play exciting rugby at home, only a few weeks in charge and mcnamara has turned them into a boring 1 dimensional team! mpg beckons if they are lucky! mcnamara will be gone too i reckon

Think Rovers will be ok, need to win two more, if they beat Fev next game (which I'm sure they will) they need to beat either Widnes or Cats at home, even if they need to beat Warrington last game to get automatic promotion I think they will, as Warrington will probably have nothing to play for then.

Leigh vs Catalans is my guess.

And if Leigh beat Widnes and then Warrington, It's a completely different ball game then isn't it?
