The body control required to get that ball back in and get it down, whilst staying the field of play was outrageous.

"get the ball back in" it was never out and he just fell on it and his starting position when he dived meant it was easy to not go into touch.

As scrappy a try you'd see if it was given.

Absolute rubbish. He completely missed the ball going for the kick, it came forward off his knee and he was fortunate that it bounced up nicely for him rather than bouncing straight off out of play. I agree it was a try but it was nothing special at all.

Hicks is having a shocker. Gallen wasn't tackled when he offloaded and Bateman was offside.

The second disallowed try decision was embarrassing, unless of course the shape of a rugby ball has changed. To cap it off, to give Wigans final try after it was sent up as a "no try" was laughable, how does a camera angle trump a touch judge?

Wigan deserved the victory against a side surprisingly grubbier than they are.

As for the commentary team, biased doesn't do them justice.

I didn't get to see much NRL last season, but I thought Cronulla were the worst Aussie side I've seen in this competition

Yes Wigan certainly met their match on the intimidation & niggle front, and agree Wigan were the better side.

This always annoys because 8/9 times out of 10 you just see the captain jog back in line without ever saying anything. Completely pointless.

The point is that, the team know that the captain has been spoken to.
Very rarely, if at all does the captain actually go and speak to his team.

Even though the games weren't classics and I have concerns over where RL is going as a spectacle to watch...this is great news for SL. The RFL & Club marketing teams need to get off their back sides and get some promotion done. Any English success against Australia goes down well with the general public, and we need to make the most of it.

I thought Warrington-Brisbane was a great spectacle, played at a high intensity.

Not everybody on the team will know what's been said between captain and referee though as they're too far away. We know because we can hear the refs on tv but the ref and captain in conversation can't always be assumed to be that the whole team is on a warning from players who are 20/30m away from said conversation.
