Which of those asked travelling fans to make a round trip of a few hundred miles on a Sunday night?

So answer the question - which of those games is acceptable and what is acceptable?

we sold near 20k tickets for the wembley final...

the final is the big showpiece so other teams supporters also go...as with every year

that widnes v saints one was awful!!!

but lets face it all cup games upto the semi final are poorly attended compared to the league game.

same in football...such as the carling cup.

So no one can tell me which of those games has an acceptable attendance, and what is considered acceptable?

So why try to justify the Giants support off the back of it then????

Have we ascertained which were all SL quarter finals at the home of the second-placed team yet?

Perhaps those attendances were so low because the clubs were big meanies and didn't include free tickets with their fifty quid season passes.

You want to compare those games against your TABLE TOPPING TEAMS, ALL SUPER LEAGUE GAME, IN THE CUP QF????

Low crowds in early rounds, sometimes trans-Pennine on a Friday night, cannot be used to justify the apalling crowd at Giants this week.

Compare it like for like. Not good, eh?

Top 2 side at home in a QF with Wembley at stake against a team from the same division is hard to compare with Wigan v Crusaders, but you would hope that a club of the calibre of Hudds has more than 2500 die hards to fall back on when times get tough, again.

Or we can compare say

an all super league tie between a newly promoted club and one of the most successful teams of the modern era playing what is supposedly a bit of a derby game

a game played between what are supposed to be two of the most deeply died in the wool RL towns that are just streets apart fighting out an ancient derby

Or a game where (again) one of the most successeful teams in SL are playing another local team in a game not on TV

Or since the last poster mentioned Wigan Cru - the top team in the country, current holders, (and better supported than the Giants) fighting for a place in the next round could only get a small amount more

etc etc

in fact if we factor in London would have attended with very few fans (no fault of theirs, and not a slight on them at all) it actually stacks up fairly evenly.

Even if it doesnt - I still havent had an answer as to what constitues acceptable

Not bad in a recession, pretty good growth. Still the bigger crowds of Wigan, Leeds and Bradford at home to come. No-one from Huddersfield is trying to claim our attendances are fantastic, or what a table topping side deserves. What they are though is growing, after nigh on 40 years of dross and near bankruptcy. As I alluded to in my previous post, no-one is trying to say Huddersfield have world-beating crowds. And yes, I agree, the CC game was appalling. No excuses can make a good reason for it, it was an awful crowd. However, it is one attendance in 2012. We also took over 1000 to Catalans, shall we talk about that?

It maybe would be 'pretty good growth' if season tickets weren't being virtually given away.

Do I get a prize for being at all 3 games mentioned (plus Scorpions at Halifax where the Fax turn out was very unimpressive to be fair).

To be honest the Wigan v Crusaders game had a terrific atmosphere with both sets of each clubs noisiest fans in together and both making lots of noise and that should be what the cup is about to be fair.

You've all been waiting for this and my how your all lapping it up, im sure other clubs will post poor crowds in the next few months and im sure there will be as much bashing of that club on here! I have always said that Huddersfield Giant were to be applauded for growing their crowds, no matter how they did it.

BTW.......P&G, the worlds largest advertiser, believe that a consumer is a consumer for the first 6 times they purchase a product.......but the 7th time they buy it, they become a CUSTOMER. P&G will spend heavily to get you to the 7th purchase stage, then spend more wisely and more often retaining you.

Not saying the giants cheap ST's are the way ahead, but once you get into the habit of buying one, a 10% increase year on year becomes easier to swallow......50 becomes 80 over 5 years.....and in 5 more years 130........and 210 5 years after that.

If you start off with 5,000 ST holders, your revenue of 250k would become 1 Million in 15 years.......300% growth over 15 seasons.....

But hey, back on thread.........this is Huddersfield and that gate was terrible

Think some of you blind idiots need to get a bit of knowledge about the Giants season tickets.......i've been a season ticket holder for years and only had a reduced one twice and have never paid £50 for it ....like i said, find out some facts 1st cos everytime one of you spouts out how we all get £50 tickets and do every year your way off the mark ............but hey, dont let that stop your sad childish little pokes at our fine, progressing club !!
