To are the logical choice for the next French franchise, but they have to show that they will take the plunge and not play it as safe as they did last year in the Championship. Possibly it was the Catalans' plan for their years in the LER that got them the nod.

Les Cats entry has not damaged the game , when they entered we didn't have a club being thrown out of SL , we had clubs relegated because they finished bottom of the league , those clubs then had the opportunity to get straight back into SL via on field performance

Whichever club/s gets removed from SL in 2012 will be damaged possibly irreversibly

edit : just to explain the laugher, Les Cats cost widnes their SL spot with widnes being relegated from 3rd last position, and they have come back and will be in SL next time.

if a club like wakey cant survive being put into NL1 and can only survive off SL grants, it doesnt deserve to exist.

Hull KR made a very succesful return from NL1. a stint in NL1 for Wakey could be the thing that forces council to get the stadium done.

No they did not , only one club has been relegated from 3 rd bottom in any league in recent history and that was Leigh , because of a French clubs excemption

Yes we were relegated , but unfortunatley because of the financial problems of another club we have been placed back into the Championship

An RFL decision , we are just doing what they have asked us to do , for the benifit of the competition

im sure players les cats have missed out on france will make the step up to SL and there are more than enough imports from the nrl to fill the gap

with their business plan being a strong one thats all that really matters

if the criteria is numbers of available players for SL, you wouldnt be adding any more english teams to SL either but these clubs have little worry signing imports up
