I can see why the try was given. It was very close... But baring in mind the rules state both the players feet have to be behind the ball... and on the angle you couldn't see the ball due to the saints player being there(who incidentally was level with smith)...
benefit of the doubt has to go to the attacking side doesn't it?

he was offside by a mile the worst decision i have ever seen I have played for 20 od years and watched for 37 years Bentham should go now he his the worst ref and video ref there has ever been the RLF need to sack him.

That's the Phil Bentham who chalked off one (possibly 2) perfectly good Hudds tries in the Cup Final, who tried all ways to disallow Eastmonds try and had the cheek to allow that Leeds try! The guys a joke - Leeds deserved it by a narrow margin on the night, but PB helped.
And the more I see of Webb the more I think he's a snidey little e who should learn how to tackle below head height! |
