But he's been released by the Rebels, the Rebels have some problems behind the scenes, I doubt if they'll quit the S15 tho, the IRB and ARU will make sure of that. He would be wasted in Japanese union, and the Top 14, messing about in French RU! He's an Aussie and only 21 I think. That would be a waste. He's not a stand-off in union, he's made to be a five-eighth in League.

Doesnt address the failings at youth level though does it. HKR have had 5 years of no relegation to get their youth development in order, yet they are still 'weak' in this respect, when P+R comes back in we arent going to see them sacrificing the 1st team to get the infrastructure in place, and the investment in youth development in order. Its a pretty disappointing outcome from them.

The post you were responding to criticised your academy, you then listed numbers of overseas players. Im just pointing out to you that you can list all the numbers of overseas players you want, Hull KR still have among the 2 worst academies in SL, they are still ‘weak’ in this area, after 5 years in a franchised SL where they are given every opportunity possible Hull KR still chose to spend money on Willie Mason instead of their ‘urgent need to address their staffing structure’ and ‘provide better access to facilities for all players’ when ‘both of these issues are having an adverse effect on the progress being made by the players’ Hull KR could have 0 overseas players, their youth development is still e and the lack of investment in to it should embarrass them.

P&R won't be decided on how good your under 16's academy is, you want relegation then so be it, I have no problems with my club stopping funding to Jnr's to ensure we put out a team every year that will not be relegated.

U20's we finished 7th out of 14 in 2011 and 8th in 2010

Whilst not pulling up trees we are hardly have the worse jnr development programmes in SL.

We've gone from having 12 overseas players to next year prob 5. You'd have to be pretty dumb to not see that things have changed for the better since we joined SL.

I don’t want P+R, because it will lead to this obvious and exact issue, where young kids are failed because of short-term self-interest of clubs. For a system like HKR’s to be so poor after 5 years of franchising is even worse.

The strength/weakness of a club's junior development is measured on how many make it through to SL level and not on where they finish in the league table.

We had six players playing yesterday who had come through the academy not to bad not everyone can be Leeds who have the pick of young talent in west Yorkshire and are a successful club so will attract top young talent when we started we were already at least ten years behind Hull fc who had the pick of all the youngsters in this area as our youth set up was non existent but we've addressed that and it's starting to pay off

Our u19's are mid table, our u16's have won 4 lost 2, we have 6 players in first grade from the academy production line. Geez imagine where we would with a 3 rating lol!
