I am reliably informed by a Huddersfield fan I know that the Giants sold 6k for Twickenham. Further I think we would remember if Giants had sold out their allocation in 2006 and had to request 3/4k more. So where's Thewlis getting his figures from?

thats the impressive bit is the club have grown their crowds without having to bribe fans with winning things.

imagine what their crowds could get too if they had a run like the bulls.

It appears that you (af) are the only person bothered about our attendance for this final. As fans we don't care as we will enjoy the day either way, enjoy the banter with the Warrie fans and the other supporters on their way down and enjoy the atmosphere of the final of a premier competition.

I am reliably informed, by someone who should know, that the RFL have very high quality customer service tracking systems. Over many CCFs and GFs they track postcodes and buying patterns after match results. For eg in the 48 hrs after the Giants CC semi victory 1500+ tickets were bought from the RFL by people in HD postcodes.

After a CCF the RFL will collate all their data, including much match day data, and estimate the numbers involved. They will provide the finalists with a range.

I suspect you will not contact a named person at the RFL and get a definitive answer. You seem to prefer low end estimates. So be it.

It is a terrific season for the Giants. I am seeing them play at the new Wembley and knowing they are set up for a crack in the play offs. Whether we have 8473 or 14851 is one for the 'anoraks'.....I'm going to Wem..ber...leeee!!
