| Seriously. What on earth is going on at the Bulls? I thought they were OK? Is it all just rumour and media negative hype?

| Quote ="gutterfax"The Bulls took a short term Loan from the council we are told......around 200k. Then the 200k of wages are late being settled...the owner rides in with 900k, of which, 400k is already accounted for.
The last 3 home games at Oddslum this year feature 2 teams that bring their fans on a skateboard....the overwhelming majority of fans at those games will be made up of your 6,500 ST holders so there will be little income at the gate.....that 500k will only go so far.
On the topic of half the SKY Money.....it's not like Bradford didn't know they were a half mil down this year.......but instead of cutting their cloth accordingly, they have spent more than they could and their owner had to REACTIVELY re-mortgage other investments to give them enough cash to see out the season.
This loan was a REACTION to failings at Bradford to generate enough cash to pay the wage bill...dress it up how you like, it's not a good look for the club or the sport.'"
We have cut the cloth accordingly, we are spending no where near the cap. Look at the players we have lost, Kopczak, Jefferies, Burgess, Elima, Hargreaves, Whitehead, Crookes, Sibbitt, Ainscough, Pryce, Joseph. We do need a squad you know!
Omar took over a club that was literally days from folding. He has had to start from the bottom up. Maybe ticket sales and gate crowds weren't as high as had been hoped. Omar is plugging the gap the same way Ken Davy is at Huddersfield, David Hughes is at London and Abamovich is at Chelsea.
I agree probably not good for the sport with us in the headlines about not paying our players again, certainly won't aid the sport in getting a sponsor, but i think some people need to calm down, we're not on the verge of going bust again.

Out of the air eh....

900k less the 200k council loan = 700k
700k less the 200k wages that are owed= 500k

the SKY money is actually about 600k light..see [url=http://www.superleaguefans.com/forum/thread-12471.htmlhere[/url
Nothing was plucked out of the air other than the business plan that has failed to deliver the expected revenues at Bradford and therefore required this 900k to be raised by the owner.

And what of the money OK has invested in the club prior to this amount? Have you taken that amount into consideration with your rant? I don't believe you have. Just so you know, that figure is close to £800k.
Also, that loan, like all loans won't be paid off in a single lump sum. It'll be paid of in installments.
The money is there to plug funding gaps, such as the ones you've pointed out like London and Catalan fans could turn up in a minibus and still stop to pick up a hitchhiker on the way. But the club has also put things in place to try and encourage more people to attend those games, such as an offer on groupon for cheap tickets for both games as well as offering friend for £5 for the Catalan game.
But as you point out the Sky money is about £600k light. But the investment, so far, is over £1.7 million excluding outside loans.
As much as you and others might wish for a further financial crisis at Bradford, it doesn't look like it's coming any time soon.

Edited for accuracy. Incredibly (I know this is hard to believe) Bradford Bulls weren't the first club to go bust and they aren't going to be the last. People can patronise and talk about how well their club it run but irrespective of who you support your club probably has gone bust before and probably will do again at some point.

Hardly a sustainable business/cutting cloth accordingly if that's the case, particularly as you still won't get full Sky money next season either.

We don't rely on Jack Fulton to spend over and up to the cap. We use Jack Fulton to meet our obligations to local businesses and creditors and keep the business running smoothly.
There's a vast difference between that and the other clubs. Plus our losses are substantially lower than other clubs and the SL average of circa £650k. We've also made a profit in the last decade and broken even.
If we have a bad season then we require support but if we have a good season CC run and making the play-offs, we tend to break even. We are a club that doesn't spend more than we earn and we pay what we owe.

So you were given 800k........needed to borrow another 200k from the council, then missed a wage payment of another 200k before your owner came back with another 900k.
1.7 Million of outside investment needed to get you to the end of 1 season?
Whilst DH ploughs money into London on a similar scale, he does it because the club can't survive on 2,000 averages.
Bradford have an average of around 8,500 or so this year.......needing another 1.7 million to survive sounds like bad management and a lot of unlearn lessons from previous carnage.
3 more home games, 2 of which will deliver little ticket revenue then the off season with wages still needing to be paid....as I said, there's500k left of the 1.7 million from your owner...who said his total investment would be in the region of 2 million.....it's not looking positive at Bradford at all.
BTW...I take no pleasure in watching another club struggle...I simply call it as I see it, which in this case, is negative. I fail to see how missing a salary payment to staff can be seen as anything else.

I doubt OK will be happy ploughing in another 1.7 million in 2014.....if he can afford to that is.
2013;
8,500 average at say 25 quid per fan (total spend, ticket, beer, food, shop etc) is about 2,750,000. Add in the 600k from SKY and the 300k sponsorship deal and the Bradford Bulls have an income for 2013 of 3.65 million....before the owner puts his hand in his pocket.

Again, this is you grabbing at a statistic but not using all the information about it for your argument. Yes, you can start paying for your season ticket early, however the club has already stated that that money is ring fenced for 2014. So the club are clearly aware that spending next year's ST money is a recipe for disaster which is why they're not doing it.
Also, your other figures are all based on income and show no outgoings. So, taxes, wages, rent, marketing and all the other overheads that go into running a modern sports club are not taken into account in your shocked expose of how badly the Bulls are run.
