As long as you don't put it somewhere overly large, then there's no reason an MM weekend for the championship wouldn't work. The only downside is possibly the one that a number of SL clubs had, being that they wouldn't make as much for a weekend in Cardiff as they would for having a normal home game that week.

I'd suggest that it was held much closer to the heartlands though. That way you might help up the numbers by having some SL club fans turning up as neutrals.

And the fact we have an odd number of teams which means it cannot work until we get another or one less team , one less is the more likely scenario at the moment

why not hold it somewhere more easily accessable for the general public ie Old Trafford or Elland Road in the football close season ? ie june ? or maybe at two venues ?

Hold it at Salford's new ground when completed - fairly central as the M62 goes, not too far for Barrow to travel, and no further than usual for Toulouse and no soccer team to whinge about pitch damage. Mind you, some clubs might object to Salford having home advantage (only joking Salford fans!)

Given that there most probably wouldn't be more than 1,000 fans in attendance for any single game , have it at Oldham's new stadium , plenty big enough
