the cats crowd shows RL is working there, how many quins fans made to a (moved by sky) sunday night game with work monday morning

we are at a situation where all but 4 clubs are getting decent crowds this season. In theory Wakey and Salford should be able to draw 7,500 avgerages. Quins will always struggle to avg over 5,000 imo and Celtic are too early to tell yet.

Without a local rivalry, I think Quins and Celtic will always struggle for interest.

Catalans have had local rivalry, they just aren't in their league at this moment in time (before anyone points that one out!).

Disappointing really. It's their second lowest crowd in the last 3 years.

3,000 for a heartland club is disgraceful.

You'd have to admit the decision to allow Salford in above Widnes isn't looking like a great call! Clearly the people of Salford are not that interested in SL.

Our crowds were up 16.8% earlier in the year, but have tailed off just like our season. Whereas Widnes are now winning every week so their crowds are on the up. No great surprise really.

It's not a surprise that a SL game got less fans than a championship game? I'm shocked as Halifax and Wakey will have brought about the same number of travelling fans. Salford will die if they don't get their crowds up.

Give the spot to a town (sorry city

) that wants a SL club.

Salford offer nothing other than proximity to a bigger city that doesn't care about RL anyway.

How do you work that out???

similar size towns travelling similar distances to teams who are below them in the league.

And one team averages a significant number more.......do you not think that away support is generally a percentage of overall support??

i do. my point was that it unlikely that there were more fax fans at widnes, than wakey fans at salford, making salfords attendance even worse.
